The world of personal development. Still a strange term for many of us, especially the background I come from. What is that background? Ultimately, the so called normal world, the normal society we live in and anything usual or normal. What is normal? What most people do. These seem to be the rather simplistic tunes we live to. I was born into that. But I was born me. That’s why I had to make the journey and why anyone who can hear their real selves, will have to too. Will be fortunate enough to. In this most stunningly fortunate of times really. The times of personal development and free press. 

The normal world. The one most people if not everyone, has been born to. In some way or other, we are all afflicted. Mainstream media, the arts and anything that is normal society does not promote personal development, literal wisdom, literal philosophy or literal words by any of the greatest minds on the planet. The writers, thinkers and philosophers who are relegated to the world of academia and kept further away from us, as we all get wrapped up in our obvious lives and get our sources of knowledge and inspiration from our obvious sources. Such is the power of the media. We live in the most powerful and most dangerous and most empowering times. Free press. TV or internet, free rag on the underground in a metropolis, or reading quality papers or the myriad of specialised and more indepth magazines that cost as much as a paperback book. It’s all there for us. But personal development is still the one on the outside. 

The years have brought us forward however, with the new metaphor magic of JK Rowling and all that is Harry Potter, bursting forth new generations who like wizardry and who have a new vernacular. As does their schooling, with psychology, media and life studies in the curriculum. Things have moved on and for someone like me, deep in the heart of all that is personal development and then all that is The Lost Knowledge™, recalling my real wizardry and finding out how everyone can in the ways they can, that is real joy and wonder. The world is waking up. As I am. And it is all actually, personal development, applied psychology, applied sociology, applied mind change, applied self empowerment, applied anthropology, applied LOST KNOWLEDGE™, applied Hierophant knowledge, applied Shaman knowledge and applied High Priestess knowledge. All that is the inner psyche and how it can run your life like magical clockwork. Alchemy & Liberation™. The journey Eve was making. Who are we and what is life. Applied TRUTH. It’s as Harry Potter as life can get. A glorious, hair raising, heart stabbing, humility demanding, soul stripping, magical adventure. At last, more than a nightmare. 

I keep hearing Rhonda Byrne and The Secret being mentioned, so these are clearly new days and that is glorious. Wizardry or self actualisation or personal development, or emotional growth from invisibility into superstardom, as a state of being, creating self esteem from the rate of zero, or retrieving your soul, or wisdom, and the acquiring of wisdom, or the acquiring of everything we ever want – there are many ways to describe the real journey in life – they are all the same wondrous, Gnostic, self crucifying, emotionally cleansing, soul stripping, journey of Ascension. Personal development is Temple work. 

As my own work progresses, I have been featuring some of the excellent teachers, who taught me, in my 15 years of spiritual and esoteric and psychological and shamanic and anthropology self teaching, either through their books or CDs, or through their live seminars, and indeed the many seminars that are live online. Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and Christopher Howard and Osho are some of the teachers I have featured so far. Doreen Virtue, Don Miguel Ruiz, Gary Zukav and Neale Donald Walsch. All very big players, excellent teachers and excellent wizards. ‘The revolution will not be televised’. Gil Scott Heron. The thing about The Lost Knowledge™ is this. It has to be searched for. It is not allowed into obvious realms of media, for very obvious reasons. Self empowerment just goes against their agenda. It’s the same reason why western cities – mind you, look at Dubai – are banning all freedoms. Death of the spirit is their only agenda. The revolution is not being televised. The answers to success and health and wealth and emotional peace, have to be searched for. Fortunately, that is the best way to heal the psyche. Searching means the recognition of the language of symbols begins. That is intuition of a level and the language of The Universe. For that, we have to work with our emotions and that means therapy and all that is looking within, has to be the new sex. 

In my own searching, I can tell you in particular, that one of these teachers in my own life, Christopher Howard, took me through a phenomenal three day event that changed me completely and utterly, and for the next three years, I listened to Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and Anthony Robbins every single day, until I changed. And that was thanks to an enterprising friend I met at Christopher Howard who very kindly pirated me copies. Synchronicity. ‘I don’t listen to music anymore’ he said. ‘I listen to these’. I am sure he does listen to music as do I, but the shift into education as something you choose to do on your ipod, rather than the preferred listening to music, shifted me for life. The commitment was made, even though I had already been on the journey for 10 years, up to that point. We are brought up to be so lazy and stupid and illusional. And of course, one thing more than anything other. To ignore our pain. In fact, we are brought up to be beaten, for having pain. That is the normal world. 

On my own journey, at first glance I could say that spiritual energy healing, as I will call it, took up about six years, emotional therapy a few more, self teaching in creative training in all my art forms many more years, self teaching in the world’s wisdom more years and so on. And on it goes, and so it should. To embrace this world completely, the world of The Lost Knowledge™, as I have termed it, I recommend everything. Because there is so much. And so much to change in ourselves. Enjoy it. 

I feature Anthony Robbins here. I still listen to the CDs from these different teachers all the time. These have been the best years. The constant education and inspiration and stimulation. Like visuals, audio is very easy on the mind. Whichever form it is though, it is education and education is the vital issue about personal development. Just as it is for anything else. We are not brought up to value emotional education. This is what is so painful. Catching up on not only The Lost Knowledge™. Which is essentially what it is, but also changing one’s mindset to embrace that it is the single most important area of education in any life. Because it runs everything else. Warrior skills. Life skills. Hunter skills and love skills. All the skills you could ever think of. It all comes from emotional education. The High Priestess way. 

And emotional growth and spiritual growth and confidence growth and whole-self growth is like anything else. It takes hard work. Of course it takes understanding too, and there is no doubt about it, that consciousness is the hardest language and intelligence to acquire. I remember the shock I had, when I was a tender 19 year old in my first lecture at higher education. It was a social science and politics degree. And I sat there in the first lecture and was practically weeping afterwards. I had not understood one word. Not one word. The lecturer saw me and comforted me and told me the same thing I can tell you. It is a brand new language and you do begin to get it. It doesn’t matter how little you understand at the beginning. 

That rare and generous parenting did it for me and I did keep at it. And I did understand and then I understood too well it seems. I was then told I was being too provocative in an essay (by another professor) and was too weak spirited to follow that up with any enthusiasm. I mention that, because that is also a fundamental problem for humankind. And certainly dominated my life forever. I see now how it is a generic problem, especially of our times. And everything to do with having been abused at home. Abuse being neglect, abuse, harshness, emotional wars, violence, hyper criticism, or abandonment at any level. The micro matches the macro. Our family dynamic, I am now convinced, in my work, reflects the dynamic we have with the world as our issues to deal with and heal and transform in the life we are here to live, this time around. 

Losing heart. Surely the greatest weapon of any fascism environment, inside the home, or in the workplace, or in the country or anywhere. Apathy, giving up, being shocked into inaction, resignation, trauma, worse, silent non crying trauma, depression, hedonism, terror, and so on. All projecting in need and greed and different kinds of hedonism and hunger and avoidance. We all have it. They made sure of it. They make sure of it every single, fucking, day. And they always will. But we have a choice. No one needs to live under fascism. No one needs to lose heart. Or rather, no one needs to stay with a lost heart. 

Personal Development as is the umbrella term that is good enough for me, finds heart. Simple as. Personal Development brings back your heart. 

We do lose heart, that is the way, and if we want to succeed, we cannot lose heart. The so called Sensitives that we are, the so called spiritual hearted people, inside The Temple, or outside, good wizard high priestesses or naughty werewolf wizards or wounded wizard high priestesses, or mean and weak werewolf wizards, we have all lost heart and we all lost heart a very very very long time ago. The search for the knowledge has to include the anthropology. We are an angry people. All of us. 

We all walk around with our terrible wounds, all shitting on each other in ego, whatever archetype, with everyone too polite or scared or controlled to say anything about it, too driven by need, and then of course, with the central arena of executioner werewolf/fascism archetype and vulnerable/victim harridan helpless archetype, as the main arena of war, whether it is your mother or your father or your partner or your offspring or your so called best friend or your boss or your favourite bullies in your life. And there is nowhere to go, because none of us want to find out what the pain is from in the first place. And because it is just not prevalent enough in usual life. But the agenda of society backs up our own reluctance. We are brought up to be beaten, for having pain. We only search when we have to. And like anything, consciousness is hard work. And like anything, the harder you work, the better you get. 

Consciousness, raising the vibration of oneself and taking oneself into higher intelligence, is about one thing. Repetition. Listening through audio does that, whether one is really listening every time or not. Alchemy & Liberation™ is about not only accessing the higher mind and the inner heart, it is therefore about becoming psychic. That is a vast area of expertise with many definitions. I am only just catching up. At the same time, it is something we are all familiar with. We all unconsciously learn to be with the unseen world, to live in our imaginations, to have a relationship with ourselves, functional or dysfunctional and we all fall asleep after reading. We all in some ways, live inbetween the two worlds. Live with the two worlds. If we do anything creative or artistic, we are consciously learning how to do that. If we access and learn from consciousness knowledge itself, we are consciously being conscious. 

In other words, everyone should be in therapy. 

Repetition. The consciousness journey. Many sources. The consciousness journey. Studying in private because of the still ridiculous attitude to pain in society. The consciousness journey. Persisting with it, despite it being the most obtuse language and conceptual material you’ve ever come across. The consciousness journey. You are definitely on the right track. 

Repetition and training. The growing of confidence and courage is one thing. Repetition. The growing of emotional intelligence is about one thing. Repetition. It also means you shut the bullshit out. And that is the most important thing too. 

Re-direct who you are invaded by. Re-direct what penetrates you, what ‘osmosifies’ into you, what you absorb. Choose. Everyone is selling and why not? Good, evil, whatever, that’s not the point. Without the consciousness education taking up our time or our brain power, the emotional self is drawn to the poison of the normal world. And it is poisonous. We have to be politically, psychologically, anthropologically and sociologically very particular about what we allow into our stratosphere of existence. We are allowed to choose. We feel oppressed when we see no choice. There is a choice. Switch off. Switch off for now and enter a different world. Give yourself hope and widen your visions. There is so much hope. 

It’s a free market of a crazy world and that’s why we have to choose. That’s why the disciplines for improving oneself in this extraordinary, magical, self crucifying, self teaching, self growing way, are quite reasonable really. And why frankly, evil is not to be feared for one second. The knowledge is there. The work is our responsibility. 

We are ALLOWED to choose what comes into our minds. Maybe that’s the biggest thing to learn in life. We are allowed to choose. But that choice brings pain because it brings truth and back to the beginning and so on and then forgetting we are actually allowed to choose and so on. Round and round, until we get it. And can face it, and have made the journey, as it was meant to be made. But it’s also because we just don’t know. We just don’t know and it’s a fuck of a lot of work. And it’s a fuck of a lot of work, in the face of silent pressure from all around you subconsciously pulling you back into the poison. Yes, it is a very hard journey to make. Yes. Ask yourself this though. Are you bored? I am not. The one thing I am not, is bored. I cannot believe for one second, what the world has become for me, since entering the ‘alternative’ world. We are brought up to devalue all of it so much. The weapons of mass destruction are in our living rooms. The media is the most powerful force on earth today. And we have to discern which of the many influences we want. That is our power. And which ones we want to believe. We are too intelligent to keep at that normal, pain beating, illusional, ego, regular person kind of person in pain, misery and depression and fear platform. Consciousness waits for everyone. 

I feature Anthony Robbins here because it takes us back to the beginning. I would recommend, as with all the teachers, including myself in the future, to get these CDs for yourself. And as for Anthony Robbins, who I am featuring here, you definitely want to listen to him. The enthusiasm and humanity and passion of this man blasts you out of the deepest ‘boredom’, let alone apathy. And most certainly, fear. The words are good too. Here’s some of them.

Hi, this is Anthony Robbins. I want to take a moment, just before we get started, just to thank you for the privilege and the opportunity to share with you, the strategies and techniques that have positively shaped my life. I really respect that you are the kind of person who really wants to change the quality of your life and you’re committed to doing something about it. 

I really believe that we all have dreams. We all want to believe deep down in our souls that we have a special gift, that we can make a difference. That we can somehow touch other people in a special way, and that we can make the world a better PLACE. 

I think at one time in our life, we all had a vision for the quality of life that we desire AND that we deserve. Yet for most people, those dreams have become so shrouded in the frustrations and the routines of daily life, that they no longer make an EFFORT to accomplish them. For far too many, the dream has dissipated, and with it, so has the will to shape our destinies. 

Many of us have lost the certainties that create the winner’s EDGE. My life quest, I have to tell you, has been, really to restore that dream. And to make it real. And to get each of us to remember and USE the UNLIMITED POWER, that lies sleeping within us ALL.

I know I’ll never forget the day it really hit me, that I was truly living my dream. I was flying my jet helicopter from a business meeting in Los Angeles, I was travelling to Orange County, on the way to one of my seminars. And as I flew over the city of Glendale, California, I suddenly recognised a large building and I stopped the helicopter and hovered above it, which is a kind of fun thing to do in a helicopter, that you can’t do in a plane, and as I looked down, I realised that this is the building that I’d worked in as a janitor a mere 12 years ago! In those days, I’d been concerned about whether my 1960 Volkswagen would hang together for the 30 minute trip to work. My life had been focused on how am I going to survive, I felt alone and I felt fearful. But that day, as I hovered there in the sky, I thought, what a DIFFERENCE a decade can make. I DID have a dream back then, but at the time, it seemed like it would never be realised. Today, though, I’ve really come to believe that ALL my past failures, ALL my frustrations were actually just laying down the foundation for the understandings that have created the NEW level of living I now enjoy. As I continued my flight south along the coast, I spotted dolphins playing with the surfers on the waves below. It’s a special sight, that my wife Becky and I treasure as one of life’s special gifts. 

Finally we reached Irvine, California, and as I began to look below, I was a little disturbed, when I saw that the off ramp to my seminar was jammed with bumper to bumper traffic for more than a MILE. I thought to myself, boy, I hope whatever else is going on tonight, gets started soon, so that people, coming to my seminar, can arrive on time. But as I started to descend down to the helipad, I began to see a brand new picture! Thousands of people being held back by security, just where I was about to land. Suddenly, I began to grasp the reality. The traffic jam had been caused by people coming to MY event. Although we’d expected only 2000 people, I was facing a crowd of over 7000! And in an auditorium that would only hold 5000! 

When I walked into the arena from the landing pad, I was surrounded by hundreds of people who wanted to give me a hug or tell me how my work had positively impacted their lives. The stories they shared with me were absolutely incredible. And I was so touched by their emotions in the room, that I got choked up. And after I was introduced, at first, I couldn’t even speak. And as I looked down at the audience and saw 5000 smiling, cheering, loving faces, and in THAT moment, I realised, I AM LIVING MY DREAM. What a feeling to know, that beyond a shadow of a doubt, I have information and strategies and philosophies and skills, that could truly assist ANY ONE of these people, in empowering THEMSELVES to make the changes they desire the most. You know, a flood of emotions and images started to float over me. I began to remember an experience I had only a few years before, sitting there in my 400 square foot, bachelor apartment in Venice, California. All alone and crying.

I remember listening to the lyrics of a Neil Diamond song. “I am I said to no one there and no one heard at all. Not even the chair. I am I cried. I am said I. And I am lost and I can’t even say why. Leaving me lonely still.”

I remember feeling like my life didn’t even matter. As if the events of the world were CONTROLLING me. I also remember the moment my life changed. The moment when I finally said, I’ve had it! I know I am much more than I am demonstrating! Mentally, emotionally, physically, I am more than what my life is showing right now. I made a decision in that moment, which was to alter my life FOREVER. 

I decided to change virtually every aspect of my life. I decided I would never again, settle for less than I could be. Who’d have guessed that this decision would bring me to such an incredible moment now. I mean, how could a young kid like me, with nothing but high school education have created such DRAMATIC changes? 

My answer is simple. I learned to harness the principle I now call The Concentration of Power. 

Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can instantly command, when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives. Controlled focus is like a lazer beam, that we can use to break through anything that seems to be stopping us. 

I’m going to make a couple of assertions here, that you may find a bit bizarre, maybe unbelievable. And the first one is, I believe I know who you really are. I believe you and I must be kindred souls. Your desire to expand, has brought you to this programme, and that tells me you’re someone who wants MORE. No matter where you are in your life right now, I know you want more. No matter how well you’re doing or how challenged you may be, deep inside of you there’s a belief that your experience of life, can and will be much greater than it already is. You’re destined for your own unique form of greatness. Whether it’s as an outstanding professional, a teacher, a business person, a mother or a father. 

Most importantly, you not only believe this, but you’ve taken action. You’ve picked up this tape and now you’re listening to it. I want to challenge you now to take the next step. The all important step of actually USING it. 

And now here’s my second assertion. If you’re willing to accept the challenge and really use the specific technologies you’re learning here, you WILL achieve your dreams. This programme, by the way, conclude with a specific plan that will help you to create your own magnificent obsession. Your own vision of what it would take for you to have a FULFILLING future. A future in which you make a significant contribution to the world and vastly increase the quality of your life in the process. 

A future in which you provide a rich environment for yourself and for your family. And literally make your dreams REAL. These are not exaggerated claims. They are achievable goals. 

I can tell you my own magnificent obsession began with some simple questions. How can I take IMMEDIATE control of my life? What can I do today, that will really make a difference? That can help me and others to shape our destinies? How can I expand, learn and grow, and share that knowledge with others in a meaningful and ENJOYABLE way? 

You see, I truly believe that we ALL have a sleeping giant within us. Each of us has a talent, a gift, our own bit of genius, just waiting to be tapped. And I decided many years ago, that the most important way I could spend my life, would be to invest in something that would OUTLAST it. I decided that somehow I must contribute in some way, that would live on, long after I was gone. Today, I have the incredible privilege of sharing my ideas with literally millions of people, through my books and my tapes and television shows. And I’ve now personally worked with over a quarter of a million people in the last few years alone. I’ve assisted members of congress, CEO’s, presidents of companies and countries, managers and mothers, sales people, accountants, doctors, psychiatrists, counsellors, professional athletes. I’ve worked with phobics, the clinically depressed, people with multi personalities, and those who thought they had NO personality. 

But now I have the unique good fortune of sharing the best of what I’ve learned with you, and for that opportunity, I am truly excited and grateful. 

And you know something, through all the challenges I’ve been through personally and all the people that I’ve met, I’ve continually recognised the power that individuals have, to virtually change ANYTHING and everything in their lives, in an instant. I’ve learned that the resources we need to turn our dreams into reality are within us, merely waiting for the day when we decide to wake up AND CLAIM OUR BIRTHRIGHT. 

Let these words you are hearing now, be a wake up call. Let this be the challenge to tap your God given power to live life to the fullest. 

And I want you to know that I enter into this relationship with you, with great respect. I may not be meeting you face to face right now, but my words are reaching you, and I’m deeply appreciative of the opportunity to join you in this journey of discovery. And to really participate with you in the actualisation of your deepest and truest potential. Life is a gift and it offers each of us the privilege, the opportunity and the responsibility to give something back by becoming more.

Decisions. The Pathway to Power

In my first book, Unlimited Power, I made it abundantly clear that the most powerful way to shape our lives, is to get ourselves to be able to take action. The difference in the results that people produce comes down to what they’ve done DIFFERENTLY from others in the same situation. Different actions produce different results. Why? Because any action is a cause set in motion and its effect builds on past effects to move us in a definitive direction. And of course, every direction leads to an ultimate destination, or what we call our destiny. So, if we really want to direct our lives, we must first take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently. So here’s the key. The most important question. What proceeds all our actions? 

What determines what actions we take? And therefore, who we become and what our ultimate destination is in life? What is the father of all action? 

The answer to all these questions is one word. Decisions. 

Everything that happens in your life, both what you’re thrilled with, and what you’re challenged by, began with a decision. I truly believe that it’s in your moments of decision, that your destiny is shaped. The decisions that you’re making right now, as you listen to me, the ones you’re making every day, will shape how you feel, not only today, but how you’re going to feel in the weeks and the months and the years to come. 

See, it’s true that both you and I know that there are people who are born with advantages. I don’t deny that. People have had genetic advantages, environmental advantages, family advantages, relationship advantages. Yet, you and I also know that we constantly meet, read and hear about people, who against all odds, have exploded beyond the limitations of their conditions, by making new DECISIONS about what to DO with their lives. They’ve become living examples of the unlimited power of the human spirit. 

You see, if we decide to, you and I can make our lives, one of those inspiring examples. How? Simply by making decisions today, about how we’re going to live in the years to come. The fact is that if you don’t make decisions about how you’re going to live, then you’ve already made a decision, haven’t you? You’ve made a decision, to be directed by the environments that are shaping your own destiny. 

My whole life changed in one day. The day that I determined, not just what I’d LIKE to have in my life, or what I wanted to become, but when I decided WHO and WHAT I was committed to having and being in my life! That’s a simple distinction, but it’s a critical one. 

You see, I decided I was committed to certain courses of action. When I made that commitment to those decisions, they became REAL and POWERFUL. If I’d merely decided that I’d like to make a difference in the world, or I’d like to create a better life for myself, then I’d simply have been stating a preference. 

That’s like saying, I’m interested in making more money, as long as I don’t have to DO anything. That’s not power, that’s a weak prayer! And it’s made without even the faith to launch it. For your decisions to really make a difference in your life, it’s absolutely imperative to decide WHAT results you are committed to, and it’s equally critical to decide what kind of PERSON you’re committed to BECOMING. 

So you have to set standards for what you consider to be acceptable behaviour for YOURSELF. And you get to decide what should you expect from those you care about. If you don’t set a baseline standard for what you’ll accept in your life, then you’ll find that it’s all too easy to slip into behaviours and attitudes or even a quality of life that’s far below what you deserve. You need to set and LIVE by these standards, no matter what happens. Even if everything goes wrong, even if it rains on your parade, even if the Stock Market crashes. Even if your present lover leaves you. Even if NO ONE gives you the support you need, you STILL must stay COMMITTED to your decision. The decision that you’ll live your life at the highest level. 

Does this raise some doubts in your mind? Do you wonder, well how am I going to be able to find these standards for myself? If so, stay with me. 

Together, we’ll define and create the future you really want. We’re going to make this commitment, something that’s real. That’s compelling and that will lead you to the fulfilment of your dreams. 

But you know what? Most people don’t make these kinds of committed decisions. Instead of commitments, they make excuses, and you and I don’t want to fall into this trap. They say the reason they haven’t achieved their goals is because of the way their parents treated them, they’re from a dysfunctional family – tell me a functional family! – tell you what, I hear this all the time, or they had a lack of opportunities, or a lack of education or because they were too young or too old. 

But remember something. These are all conditions. And once again, it’s not the CONDITIONS of your life that will determine your destiny, it’s your DECISIONS. Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get PAST any excuses. And to finally change any and every part of your life in an instant. It can change your relationships, your working environment, your level of physical fitness, your income, your emotional states. 

And the most exciting thing about this amazing force, this power of decision, is that you ALREADY POSSESS IT. This is a power that you don’t have to go out and pursue. This is a power that is not reserved for a select few people, with the right credentials or money or family background. It’s available to anyone, and to EVERYONE. In this very next moment, you could use this mighty force that lies waiting within you. You simply have to get up the courage to claim it.

Consider one fiercely proud individual. A young woman named Rosa Parks, who one day, back in 1955, stepped up onto a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, and she refused to give up her seat to a white person, as she was LEGALLY required to do. Her one client act of civil disobedience, sparked a firestorm of controversy, and became a symbol for generations to follow. Rosa Parks had made a committed decision. She held herself to a higher standard. And you and I can do the same. 

Will today be the day you finally decide that who you are as a person, is much more than you’ve been demonstrating? Will today be the day you decide to once and for all, make your life consistent with the quality of your spirit? By proclaiming, THIS IS WHO I AM. THIS is what my life is about. And this is what I am going to do. Nothing will stop me from achieving my destiny. I WILL NOT BE DENIED.

If making decisions is so simple and powerful, then why don’t most people take Nike’s advice and ‘Just Do it’. 

I think one reason is because most of us don’t really recognise what it even means to make a REAL decision. We don’t realise the force of change that a congruent and committed decision creates. Part of the problem is that for so long, most of us have used the term decision so loosely, that it’s come to describe something like a wish list. 

Instead of making decisions, we keep stating preferences. I’d like to quit smoking. Err, I THINK I’d like to lose some weight. Well, making a true decision means CUTTING OFF ANY OTHER POSSIBILITY. 

In fact, the word decision comes from the Latin root -- which means ‘from’ and --, which means ‘to cut’. Making a true decision means committing to ACHIEVING a result and cutting yourself off from any other possibility. When you truly decide that you’ll never smoke cigarettes again, that’s it, it’s over. You no longer consider the POSSIBILITY of smoking. After making a true decision, and even a tough one, most of us feel a tremendous amount of relief. We’ve finally gotten off the fence and we all know how great it feels to have a clear, unquestioned objective. 

You see, this kind of clarity gives you power. With clarity, you can produce the results that you really want for your life. The challenge for most of us is that we haven’t made a decision in so long, we’ve forgotten what it feels like. We’ve got flabby decision making muscles.

So how do you strengthen those muscles? Give them a workout! The way to make better decisions, is to make more of them. So, use those muscles. Then make sure you learn from each decision you make including the ones that don’t seem to work out in the short term. Recall again what Edison said; “I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded, is another step forward. Realise that decision making, like any skill you focus on improving, gets better, the more often you do it. 

And there are three decisions in particular that you’ve got to pay attention to. Because they shape every moment of your life. They truly control your destiny. Most of us make these decisions by default. That is, we leave them up to circumstances. 

But you can take control of these three decisions, starting this moment. And by doing so, you’ll literally begin to sculpt your experience, and shape it the way you desire it. The three decisions that control our destiny are; 

Number One 

Your decisions about what to focus on. In each moment that you are alive. Each moment you’re making a decision about what to pay attention to. That DECISION about focus is shaping how you think, you feel and what you do. 

Second Question

What things MEAN to you. No matter what’s happening around you, you have to determine, what does this mean, is this good or bad? Does it affect my future, my present, my past? And of course, the most important question,

Number Three 

What should I do now? This decision about what to do with any situation you come across, is clearly going to shape your actions and therefore your ultimate destiny. 

You see, it’s not what’s happening to you right now, or what’s happened to you in your past that determines who you become, rather it’s your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you and what you’re going to do about them, that will determine your ultimate destiny. 

Know that if anyone is enjoying greater success that you are in ANY area, it’s because they’re making these three decisions differently from you in some way. 

And if we don’t make these decisions consciously, when we don’t take control of them, ourselves, we pay a major price. 

In fact most people live by what I call, The Niagara Syndrome. I mean, think of life as a river. Many people just jump into the river of life without ever really deciding where they want to end up. So they quickly get caught up in the current. Current events, current fears, current challenges, and when they come to those forks in the river, they don’t consciously decide where they want to go, they just ‘go with the flow’ of the river! And they become part of the mass of people who are directed by the environment, instead of by their OWN VALUES. 

As a result, they feel out of control. Why? Because their decisions about what to focus on, what things mean, and what to do, are being UNCONSCIOUSLY directed by the environment. And they remain in this unconscious state until one day the sound of the raging water wakes them up, and they discover that they’re five feet from Niagara Falls in a boat with no oars. At this point, they say, oh shute, but by then it’s too late! They’re going to take a fall, and this ‘fall’ may take the form of financial setback, or maybe the failure of a relationship, or a health problem. 

But whatever it may be, understand this. It’s likely, that whatever challenges you have in your life presently, they could have been avoided by some better decisions, UPSTREAM. 

Now, how do we turn things around, if we’re caught up in the momentum of a raging river? Either make a decision to put both oars in the water and start rowing like crazy in a new direction, or decide to plan ahead. Set a course for where you REALLY want to go and have a plan or a map, so that you can make quality decisions along the way....

Anthony Robbins. The Teachings 

Controlling state

Robbins teaches that one should constantly take control of one's emotional state by controlling one's body language, facial expressions, breathing, mental representations, language, metaphors and mental focus.

Neuro-associative conditioning

Robbins teaches that people are held back from making the changes they wish to make by the fact that they still associate pleasure to their old pattern of behavior, and pain to changing. For example, someone may be overweight, and may wish to lose weight, but still feel that exercise is painful and that fattening foods are pleasurable. Neuro-associative conditioning is intended to change these inclinations, so that the new, productive behavior is now felt to be pleasurable, and the old, sabotaging behavior is felt to be painful. According to neuro-associative conditioning, there are six steps to changing these inclinations:

Decide. Robbins teaches that personal change starts when the person makes a strong, irrevocable commitment to change.

Get leverage. To motivate them to change, the person must acutely feel that their old habits were destructive and painful, and the new ones are empowering and pleasurable.

Interrupt the old pattern. This is a neuro-linguistic programming technique. When someone gets caught up in a familiar pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors, Robbins teaches that they should do something unexpected to shock themselves out of it. He writes in Awaken The Giant Within, "Next time you start to feel depressed, jump up, look at the sky, and yell in your most idiotic tone of voice, 'Hallelujah! My feet don't stink today!' A stupid, silly move like that will definitely shift your attention." Robbins frequently compares interrupting patterns to scratching a record so that it will no longer play properly.

Create a new pattern. The person must have something new to replace their old habit with.

Condition the new pattern. This step involves repeating and reinforcing the new pattern until it is habitual.

Test it. Put yourself in the situation where you previously would have engaged in the destructive behavior. Make sure you follow the new pattern rather than the old one.

Six human needs

Robbins teaches that all people must fulfill six emotional needs, and that often they meet these needs in dysfunctional ways. The needs are:

Certainty. The need for security and comfort.

Uncertainty. The need for stimulation, excitement and novelty. The needs for certainty and uncertainty often clash, creating emotional problems

Love/connection.

Significance. The need to feel important and worthwhile. The needs for love and importance often clash, creating emotional problems.

Growth.

Contribution.

Teachings on health and energy

One chapter of Unlimited Power, called "Energy: The Fuel of Excellence", is dedicated to a discussion of health and energy. It endorses the Fit For Life program of Harvey and Marilyn Diamond, food combining, and deep breathing. Robbins refers to Harvey and Marilyn Diamond as his "former partners". The National Council Against Health Fraud wrote a highly critical review of the chapter.

Later in his career, in his audio product Living Health, Robbins changed his teachings on health slightly. He attributes this change to the influence of Robert O. Young. In Living Health, he endorses natural hygiene, the alkaline diet, live blood analysis, and the works of Peter Duesberg and Antoine Béchamp.

In both Unlimited Power and later works like Living Health, he teaches that 70% or more of food should be fruits and vegetables, that people should avoid eating meat and dairy products, and that calorie restriction, deep breathing, gentle aerobic exercise and good emotions have an important influence on health.....

When all that you are are slaves to a reptile force to generate hate energy for them to live and thrive and vampire the human race. You bought the Sacred Whore like a piece of meat and you called that a wife. Your trophy wives. Your dancing girls. Your chattel and serving girls. Your piece of beauty. You bought us like you would cattle. Then you called it wives. Now you call it prostitution. The High Priestesses of the real God. You bought us to buy God, The Mother, The Universe and you caged us, separated us from our Divine gifts and skills in the Temple and drove us mad and then lost interest in us, because we had no gifts left, no excitement, no hunter in ourselves and no hope or joy left. Then you just called us mad and discarded us. You called us evil and you call love obedience, even though it had already killed us. You moved into our Temples and you played with the divination tools and thought you communed. The destruction of Atlantis was your gift. You stole us from God, The Mother, The Universe and you tried to usurp us. You vilified us, enslaved us and you still envy us today. You call it intuition. You might want to think about this when you hate us out of your jealousy. The mystic gene means physical tortuous pain and taking on the empathy of the human race. All their pains, evils and dark thoughts. We see and feel everything. We make crucial sacrifices to be near Spirit and the unseen and we go without for years. To be shaman is not glamour. I make it glamour. To be shaman is a specific Samurai existence, ascetic and harsh. We commune to be guides. And you take that and you shame yourselves because you just want the meat. You didn’t just want the meat. You wanted our beauty of spirit, our personalities and our love and kindness. And you destroyed them, because you caged us and called us wife.

The High Priestess Sacred Whores, the High Priests and the true protectors. Those who do not have the gift like either the High Priests or especially like the highest of all, the High Priestess Sacred Whores but who honour, protect and facilitate them to the world. Who honour the Shaman Sacred Whores of this world most of all, and who know who they are and who they are not. Who know the difference, who do not envy and who protect and love the representatives of Spirit, GOD, THE MOTHER, THE UNIVERSE, on Earth.
