Mastery of The Two Worlds. Amera Ziganii Rao
Lots of work going on. What is mastery of the two worlds? Your freedom for a start, but what is it? It is fascinating in my new grace. So far it is this....two things:
Black magic and all these superstitious sounding horrors are a deliberate language of hocus pocus to take the psychological and 'spiritual' warfare out of our daily life. Black magic is what? The conscious will to dominion over other people. Sauron to Tolkein language. The darkness. What is the darkness? The darkness is in our hearts. What is the light? The light is in all our hearts.
Black magic is in our hearts, along with 'white' magic, or Light Magic. What is the difference between fascism and cruelty, fascism and meanness? Sauron. The same person I had to draw out of you, is in everyone else. Misogyny is just another cruelty. You are surrendered, that is over and your first greatest achievement in life. It lingers, but you know and are willing to learn. That is your greatest achievement in any lifetime and to be honoured and commended by you everyday.
Now, with that great achievement under your belt, think of this. What is the difference between you and other people around you? The will to dominion over others is in everyone else and not you. You are ascended enough to know this now. This is your confusion and your fear.
You have entered the pure heart. What about everyone else?
Mastery of the two worlds for now, then, let's say is this. Being yourself, means that the recognition of who is who is crucial now. Who is in love and who is not. And the people who are not in love, who are not in the love vibration, they fall into two CRUCIAL categories, if not three. Does the person in front of you have the capacity to learn and to grow into the pure heart, and therefore you can see a future, and a way to negotiate the truth out that situation and everyone will end happily and the truth in that will be found by itself, or does the person in front of you, the people in front of you, the people who have control over you, because you have given it to them, rightly or wrongly, does that person have your capacity and do you have the will to teach them?
Then there is another even more crucial question. Does the person have the capacity for redemption or are they 'beyond the pale?'
I mention black magic for this reason. We are taught that EVIL, that terrifying word, is outside of us, spooky and in the dark.
Really? What is evil? Evil is the conscious and determined will to have DOMINION over others. As A PERMANENT STATE OF BEING.
In other words, not you. The people who cannot actually be reached at all, in this lifetime. Who cannot even be touched. Why are they in your life and who are they and what do you do about them?
Let's get spiritual. It is the only way a person of light can 'kill' and therefore take control of the mess that we are given for life, before we are free.
I give you this to begin with. John Kofee in The Green Mile. As the purest of hearts, this extraordinary beauty of a man, consciously poisons a truly bad man with the cancer that he has just taken out of a pure hearted woman who has been terminally sick.
That blew me away when I first saw it. It is not the first or last story of how truth of warrior kills dead. This is what baffles us.
Not being baffled anymore, my Achilles and Hector and also, Celie out of Alice Walker's The Color Purple to be born - you have the celestial humility now to train in slave to freedom skills yourself as you have stopped being the 'Mister' character in The Color Purple, so we heartily include that - not being baffled anymore, is mastery of the two worlds.
Stand and fight and know how. That is mastery. And we will now work on that. You are to be free and to know why and how and in what way.
I salute you. Empathy is a beautiful thing. Your heart is a beautiful thing. You are a beautiful thing. Many other people are not and you have the right to decide what to do with that information. Martyrdom is a specialised art. And not a duty.
The tribe has made it duty. And you love everyone that you struggle with. That is the pure heart, even before it became pure in you. It is a process now, to say goodbye to those you do not want to say goodbye to, because they can't let you go. Not being able to let go is the impure heart. Some are just sick. Some are consciously evil. They have crossed the line into death. That is black magic. The conscious will to dominion.
Yours is gone. I don't feel it anymore. Mine went in finality, in 2009. You are a tender gazelle of recovery, having ejected your 'evil'. Now, you have got to deal with everyone else. John Kofee consciously transfers the poison. That blew me away. What was violence and dominion and what was justice and how it had to be in our very own hands.
Human rights. The most spiritual journey on earth.
And you have earned completely, now the right, to implement yours. With that comes the sadness of facing truth. It will make sense. You seek certainty. Certainty is warrior.
Amera Ziganii Rao © 2013
....You also seek certainty with me. Sure. My job is to help that. Sure. As I look at the particular fight between Achilles and Hector, I see the similarities of why I train with that story and why I train with David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia. Heroism is flawed. The pursuit of heroism though is a human right. To be warrior is to watch oneself with the eyes of a hawk. To accept failure and practise the form just like any other. As people of the Light before we are even fully Light, or in conscious ability to draw the Light, we have to train too. You embrace the truth of that, and the more you discipline and hone yourself, the more you will start asking for that in everyone else. You take yourself forward, by changing yourself. You take your life forward by taking yourself forward. Redemption is inevitable. Hierophant the language. Love, the motivation. Always. We are thankfully, human. The love is pouring for a reason. Your freedom and our redemption. Certainty is the work you have to do. Then you know you have earned it. Spiritual certainty is as powerful a vulnerability as human certainty. Both are coming. You are begun and doing well. You are a miracle in birth. An enlightened being who can lead at last. An enlightened being who knows at last, who he is and who he is not. Who loves himself because he is finally told to. He has got out of the way for his soul. He is finally, the handsome vehicle. The vehicle for Light. To be vehicle, is to be certain. To be vehicle is courage, and of course, skill. Hierophant skill. How to love and how to fight. Who to love and who to fight. The certainty of good and evil. The certainty of how Frodo eventually sees the truth of Gollam. The defeat of Agent Smith in your life. Now, he is out of you.

The Law of Choices. Dan Millman
"The most basic choice we have in life is whether to expand or contract, whether to bring our creative and expressive energies out into the world in positive or negative ways. No matter what our circumstances, we have the power to choose our direction."
"In each of us are heroes. Speak to them and they will come forth." Anonymous.
Most creatures on Earth have a relatively narrow range of conscious choices. They work primarily through instinct and adaptation. In contrast, we humans have far-ranging powers of choice. Our daily lives consist of a series of choices and exercises in free will - whether to get up or stay in bed, what to eat for breakfast, what to do with our day, whether to change careers, go back to school or continue a relationship and so forth.
Depending upon our circumstances, we may experience many choices or few choices. Mental illness or other incapacitation may distort or limit our power of choice; clarity of mind enhances it. Clearly, we don't all have equal choice over our circumstances. For example, if we have wealth, we can choose to fly to Europe for dinner. If we live in an impoverished country, we may choose to eat but find no food available. If we are bedridden, we may choose to run through the hills but find ourselves unable to do so, except in our imagination. Physical circumstances can indeed limit our physical options. The Law of
Choices, however, addresses our power and responsibility to choose how we RESPOND to our circumstances - a power we never lose as long as we live.
"We have to live and we have to die. The rest we make up." Anonymous.
Sometimes we feel as if our choices are made for us by our family, by our employer, by our friends, by our circumstances, or by God. If, for example, our employer tells us, "You have to work overtime or we'll have to let you go," we may feel that we don't have a choice. But of course we do. We make conscious choices by recognising that every choice has consequences.
We can choose an easier path or a more difficult one. We rarely choose to take the more painful truth unless we believe it will bring us pleasure in the long run or get us to our goals more quickly. The fewer distorted or limiting beliefs we have, the greater our power of choice.
We also need to trust the intuitive messages from our subconscious, which may choose experiences or attract people into our life with results that we don't consciously want but that we may need for our highest good and learning. The more we honour the Law of Choices, the more clearly we can live our life on purpose and by choice, taking responsibility for our directions, rather than viewing life as something that just happens to us. For example, instead of wandering through life, wondering if we are on the right path or with the right person or doing the right job, we recognise that we have chosen these people and circumstances. With that recognition comes the power to accept our choices, to take responsibility for our life and perhaps to make new choices. If we ever feel powerless in a situation, that's the time to remember our power of choice.
In the context of the Life-Purpose System and the life paths it describes, we can choose to expand or contract, build or destroy, in the two key areas of CREATIVITY and EXPRESSION.
Each of us has creative life energy. We also have the ability to express ourselves. We can choose to create and express in either more positive or more negative directions. We may not always feel as if we have a choice; sometimes we may feel that our creativity and expressiveness are suppressed or that we lack these energies. We may feel afraid or blocked. Yet the more we appreciate the power of choice, the more we take charge of how we channel our creative energy and how we express ourselves.
Creative Choice
"We create in constructive ways or we create in destructive ways. Either way, creative energy finds expression."
EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS IS MADE OF ENERGY, AND ENERGY CAN MANIFEST ITSELF ALONG A SPECTRUM FROM POSITIVE TO NEGATIVE. For example, electricity can light a city or take a life. Money is another kind of energy. We can use this energy in positive or in negative ways, such as donating to a charity, taking a needed vacation or for example, hiring someone to perform a crime.
Creative energy has a surging, dynamic quality. It needs to find expression. It exists to flow and to be used. This energy acts as a two-edged sword. if it is not used for constructive purposes, it gets discharged in destructive ways. if our creative energy gets blocked altogether, like water surging against a wall, it turns back upon us and creates pressure that we experience as painful symptoms at physical, emotional and mental levels. Excessive weight for example, often reflects blocked creative energy with nowhere to go.
Examples of creating in the positive include the fine arts - music, painting, sculpture, writing, drama and so forth - but creative energy can also be expressed fully through having and raising children, coming up wtih innovative solutions to business problems, working with plants and growing things, or taking care of animals. We can apply creative energy to any field, including healing, crafts, interior design or a thousand other endeavours.
Pablo may become a creative artist. Theodore may create counterfeit money. Karinna may apply her creative energy and deft fingers to playing guitar. Margarite may become a pickpocket. One person may create with language to tell stories; another may use language to tell elaborate lies. All of these examples reflect creative energy, used in constructive or destructive ways.
Many prison inmates are extremely creative. They can draw, paint, sing, act and write beautifully, but they directed their creativity into negative directions. They planned creative robberies, conned people out of money, lied and so on.
Blocked creative energy either manifests as physical maladies and symptoms or gets discharged through abuse of tobacco, alcohol, other drugs, food or sex. When such release becomes repetitive, compelling, or chronic, it may expand into full blown addictions.
As we recognise that we have, on some level, chosen how we channel our creative energies, we can learn other ways to open up our energies and channel them in directions that inspire or help others and bring rewards instead of punishments. No matter how destructive or blocked our creative energy may have been in the past, this can change once we apply the power of choice.
By choosing to express our creative energy in positive, life-affirming ways, including daily exercise, we can change the course of our life.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of Choices as it relates to creativity.
Experiencing Creative Choice.
1. Consider how your creative energy manifests.
Is your energy flowing into creative projects or activities or is it blocked?
If your energy feels blocked, do you experience physical symptoms?
How might you use this energy in an enjoyable and constructive way?
How do you balance, ground, or release creative energy when pressure builds up?
Do you exercise?
Do you smoke cigarettes?
Do you talk a great deal?
Do you drink alcohol or use other drugs?
Do you overeat?
Do you feel pressure for sexual release?
2. No moral judgments are implied; the above options are neither 'good' nor 'bad'. They are only more or less constructive ways to use creativity.
How will you choose to use your creativity in the future?
Will you apply the power to choose?
Application of Creative Choice.
1. Make a list of the more constructive and less constructive ways in which you make use of your creativity.
2. Contemplate your list and consider the life you would like to create for yourself. You may choose not to make any changes, or you may decide to take a risk and try something new.
3. If you are dealing with abuse of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, or abuse of food or sexuality, consider the following suggestions to help you turn around your energy and your life;
Find a twelve-step programme or other self-help group; in the case of addictions, group support is essential.
Commit to an exercise programme to balance and release addictive pressures constructively.
Find a counsellor or psychotherapist to help you work through underlying issues.
4. If you have avoided learning creative skills or arts out of insecurity or the feeling that you might not be good enough, explore new possibilities; take a leap and express your creativity.
Take an art or drama class; make up short stories or write in a daily journal; take up a craft or hobby; rearrange, redecorate, or redesign your living quarters; help someone solve a problem; work in the garden; or do volunteer work. Any of these are positive examples of creativity.
Expressive Choice.
"We express ourselves in constructive ways or we express ourselves in destructive ways; either way, expressive energy manifests."
Expressive energy demands release. We express ourselves and our emotions most often through talking, but performance and arts and crafts also furnish other avenues of self-expression.
Expression entails more than just talking or passing out ideas or information. Expressive energy is EMOTIONAL energy, or feelings; these feelings may signal anger or sorrow or fear that needs to be released; these feelings may evoke joy and inspiration, which also demand expression.
If we block the expression of our feelings, this block contributes to sore throats, ulcers, other abdominal problems, lower back pain, uterine fibroids, prostate problems, headaches, muscular tension and stiffness or other symptoms and maladies.
One reason the elderly tend to have more problems in these areas is that they have had more years to store up unexpressed feelings. We can, however, rejuvenate and invigorate ourselves by taking appropriate steps to heal our body and at the same time, to form new habits and create new avenues of free and open self-expression.
Creative energy can be channelled in isolation, such as through painting pictures or building models by ourselves, but expressive energy entails relationship - someone else who receives our expression, someone willing to listen, to watch our performance, or to appreciate our expressive crafts. Our audience may be adults, children or even animals with whom we've established a relationship (and who listen well without judgments or blame).
Expressive energy is so strong in some people that it may come out at first in one-on-one situations, but as confidence rises, the expressive drive often expands to include groups in one form or another. Whatever forms our expression takes - symphonies, speeches, or soap operas - it can convey, stimulate or inspire feelings, stirring our emotions.
Positive expression manifests as inspiring, enthusiastic, constructive, uplifting communication, such as speaking, singing, acting, music, writing or other arts. Negative expression manifests as bad-mouthing, complaining, criticising, or whining. it tears down, hurts or destroys and it can cut people to ribbons.
Those of us who have a great deal of expressive energy have the power to either uplift or to tear down. Once we recognise our ability to uplift or tear down, we can learn to channel this energy in responsible, constructive ways.
Whether our feelings seem 'positive' or 'negative', we can all appreciate the value of expressing them in constructive ways. Getting in touch with and releasing our authentic feelings can generate new levels of energy, integration and healing. In valuing positive expression, I do not mean to imply that we should deny our anger, fear or sorrow, nor do I recommend repressive strategies in the name of staying 'cool' or above it all.
We can express even anger, far, sorry or any other 'negative' emotion IN NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE WAYS. For example, if we feel angry, we can call someone names, or we can say something like "I feel really angry right now about what you did, and that puts a wall between us, which I don't want."
The Law of Choices, when applied to expression, reminds us that, in the long run, honest expression of ALL of our feelings benefits both ourselves and our relationships; The Law of Honesty also applies here.
Expression - the 'pen' is indeed mightier than the sword. Misused expression has allowed dictators to take over and manipulate whole nations; it has slandered and destroyed lives. At the same time, the most moving works of art and the most eloquent speeches of history stand as glowing examples of the power of expressive energy to bring beauty into the world and to inspire us to action and to change.
Even in everyday life, the way we express ourselves can make a tremendous difference in the quality of life for ourselves and those around us. The choice is ours.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of Choices as it relates to expression.
Experiencing Expressive Choice.
1. Consider the following questions;
When did you last express something in a negative way to someone?
When you express something in a negative way (for example, a criticism or complaint), do you notice that you feel fully justified at the time?
How do you feel during and after you criticise or complain, or express in another negative way?
When did you last express something in a positive way to someone?
When you express something in a positive way (for example, giving someone a compliment or expressing angry feelings in a constructive way that honours the relationship), do you notice the way positive energy comes back toward you?
How do you feel during and after you compliment someone or express your feelings in another positive way?
2. As you reflect on your answers to these questions, you might want to imagine or even mentally rehearse more positive ways to express your feelings.
Application of Expressive Choice.
1. Write down or recall the last one or two times you expressed something in a negative way.
2. Consider that when we criticise, we don't usually express our FEELINGS, we turn what we feel into JUDGMENTS. Rewrite how you might have phrased your feelings directly and honestly.
Hint; Instead of using 'he' or 'she' ("HE makes me crazy! SHE always....."), use "I feel" ("I FEEL angry when.....").
3. The next time you have a chance, put what you have learned into practise.
Dan Millman. The Life You Were Born To Live
...exactly. If mastery of the two worlds for you is all that, what do you think it is for me? Told you. Building from scratch. The twin soul journey. It was always going to be this long. And this uncomfortable. I live in a fridge, in THE most bizarre habitat I could ever landed up in, an oppressive habitat, and so on. The 'omens' are clear. Can't do anything about the fridge, but everything else, yes. You live in a gilded cage and don't really know why you are stuck. And then you probably do. And you don't know how to get out. It is the way.
My life looks as successful and feels as infuriating and pathetic as your lack of courage and certainty. Alchemy, indeed. The mirror.
And let's face it, like it or not, we are pure vehicle, even before you are vehicle in performance too. Destiny demands. And why not. There is work to be done and we are evolving all that is marriage. We're going to fly.
Buckle in. A long ride. Let's begin from the beginning. You are worthy. I am still alive. And so are you. And I love you. And Sacred Whore High Priestess Hierophant Avatar Valkyrie is not a pastime or wank title. Clearly and that's good to see, to say the least. It's a professional job. And then there's the history. You need time to integrate that too. So do I. The Return takes time. But you are not leaving me alone and that's what I need.
As we build the new world from scratch.

The Law of Process. Dan Millman
"On the path to your goals, if we want to get from point A to a point Z, the surest way to get there is to first go to point B, then C, then D and so on. Skipping a single step, even though it appears to be a shortcut, often results in failure."
"If you have a great ambition, take as big a step as possible in the direction of fulfilling it. The step may only be a tiny one, but trust that it may be the largest one possible for now." Mildred McAfee.
Our daily lives are filled with goals and achievements. These goals may be large, as in climbing mountains, gaining political office, or forming our own company, or they may be smaller, as in baking a cake, winning a softball game or doing a homework assignment.
Some of us are so occupied with our goals - leaping ahead of ourselves to the end result - that we ignore the path and the process in between. On the other hand, some of us get so disorientated or doubtful about how to get from here to there that we have trouble even setting our goals, or we get stuck on one step, suffering from tunnel vision.
It helps to remember that if we want to climb a mountain, we need to form a goal, set out a direction, prepare well, and proceed in small, sure steps. We can break down any achievement, no matter how large or imposing, into discrete, manageable steps. If we want to ford a stream, we find the individual stepping-stones. If we try to leap over too many steps, sooner or later we're going to slip.
The Law of Process teaches us not only to break a journey into shorter sections but also to appreciate each step as if it were an end in itself. Every step becomes a small success in itself; that way, we succeed many times, not just when we reach our final goal. What we learn on the journey may turn out to be more important than reaching the destination. For example, if we spend twenty years learning to paint portraits and then all our paintings are destroyed, we have still gained inner qualities on the road to our goal, including an ability to see with different eyes and better appreciate the beauty in every face.
Those of us working through process issues need to ask ourselves whether we want to be like the mail carrier who rushed to complete the shift every day and 'get off work' or the mail carrier who delighted in the changing scene of the neighbourhoods each day, saying hello to people on the street while walking at a smooth and measured pace. Many of us live only for the big highs, but forget that each small step up the mountain is higher than the last.
Here's another example of the Law of Process; Patrick had just come into some money when he noticed that a neighbourhood restaurant was going out of business. "What an opportunity!" he said to himself. He bought the business, hired the existing staff, kept the same menu, and put up a new sign, "Under New Management", thinking that under his charismatic leadership, business would boom. The business failed again, the way most new ventures fail and for the same reason; Patrick didn't go through all of the steps of the process. He wanted to get to the end product right away.
Joshua on the other hand, came into a little money and saw a "Going Out of Business" sign on a local restaurant. he did his homework; He interviewed restaurant owners and learned the pros and cons of the business. He learned that the three most important things for a restaurant to succeed are location, location and location. He found out that the old location for this restaurant wasn't the problem; something else had caused it to fail. So he did a demographic study and called two hundred people in the area, at random, to ask them how often they went out to eat and what types of food they liked. Based on what he learned, he decided to open Joshua's Deli Delights Restaurant. He then spent some time in area restaurants, offering to help wherever he could; he observed and spoke with dishwashers, food servers, cooks, hosts and managers so he would know what questions to ask on job interviews.
Finally, after finding out where to get the best supplies at the best prices, hiring the best staff he could and making all the necessary preparations, Joshua had covered all of the steps. His success was not merely luck, good fortune or a surprise. Joshua had mastered the Law of Process and demonstrated that by building a stable foundation based upon careful preparation and following a patient process, we can reach any goal. We can achieve anything if we break it down into manageable parts.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of Process through direct experience and application.
Experiencing Process
1. Reflect upon how you learned to play a musical instrument or a sport, to drive a car, or to walk or talk. Did it happen all at once, or was it a step-by-step, trial-and-error process?
2. Observe how houses and skyscrapers are built from the ground up, a little at a time. Consider how much energy and planning it takes. What does this say about how to accomplish anything in life?
Applying the Law of Process
1. Observe in your own life the many processes you go through each day in getting dressed, getting the kids off to school, going to work, or going to classes; each of these involves hundreds of small steps.
2. A very good way to reinforce the Law of Process involves building a model plane or model house, or putting together any kind of craft.
3. Pay attention to the many small steps in your life.
4. Break any present goal into small steps; write them down and make a checklist. See the stepping-stones from where you are to where you want to be.

Alchemy
Melvyn Bragg and guests discuss the history of Alchemy, the ancient science of transformations. The most famous alchemical text is the Emerald Tablet, written around 500BC and attributed to the mythical Egyptian figure of Hermes Trismegistus. Among its twelve lines are the essential words - “as above, so below". They capture the essence of alchemy, that the heavens mirror the earth and that all things correspond to one another. Alchemy was taken up by some of the most extraordinary people in our intellectual development, including Roger Bacon, Paracelsus, the father of chemistry, Robert Boyle, and, most famously, Isaac Newton, who wrote more about alchemy than he did about physics. It is now contended that it was Newton’s studies into alchemy which gave him the fundamental insight into the famous three laws of motion and gravity.
With Peter Forshaw, Lecturer in Renaissance Philosophies at Birkbeck, University of London, Lauren Kassell, Lecturer in the History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, Stephen Pumfrey, Senior Lecturer in the History of Science at the University of Lancaster.
I know...I say it like it is, when it is. Keep working hard however. I am too. Existential alchemy. Do it yourself with our help. My pleasure. The Hierophant way.
....funny how all esoteric and spiritual alchemy became the pursuit of gold. Funny that. The fundamentals are the same. Converting lead into gold is converting the ego self into the higher self. Alchemy is the only emotional, spiritual or scientific process needed. We are the mind. We are the soul.

Let's Make Love
Let's Make Love is a 1960 musical comedy film made by 20th Century Fox. It was directed by George Cukor and produced by Jerry Wald from a screenplay by Norman Krasna, Hal Kanter and Arthur Miller. It starred Marilyn Monroe, Yves Montand and Tony Randall. It would be Monroe's last musical film performance.
The plot revolves around billionaire Jean-Marc Clement (Montand) who learns that he is to be satirized in an off-Broadway revue. After going to the theatre, he sees Amanda Dell (Monroe) rehearsing the Cole Porter song "My Heart Belongs to Daddy", and by accident the director thinks him an actor suitable to play himself in the revue. Clement takes the part in order to see more of Amanda and plays along with the mistaken identity, going by the name Alexander Dumas.
Frankie Vaughan appears as a singer in the revue, while Milton Berle, Gene Kelly, and Bing Crosby appear in cameo roles as themselves trying to teach Clement how to deliver jokes, dance, and sing, respectively. Tony Randall in a supporting role portrays Clement's conflicted flunky.

The Company
Writer, Speaker and Enlightener, Amera Ziganii Rao, is now putting together a comprehensive and unique programme of Alchemy & Liberation & Humanity™. A programme of learning that is specifically about one particular kind of woman. And one particular kind of man. The Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and the Sacred Whore High Priest™, and the true society that they come from and the one they, in particular, she can and has to return to and that anyone can join her and him in. This is about Paradise on Earth.
This is about The Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and the Sacred Whore High Priest™, and the Alchemy and Liberation and Humanity that is for all as a result of their healing and in particular, hers. This is about the kind of woman who is at the bottom of the pile in a Patriarchal Toilet Tribe from Hell Society™, the norm, the conventional world and the world of the Tribe. This is about the kind of man who is next in line from the bottom. The sensitive man and the female chattel. The High Priestess and High Priest of a profane society, that has long forgotten who they are.
This is about being at the bottom of the pile, for the forgotten and strangled shamans, and for her, the story of escape. Abused by her family, her friends, her men, her whole society, by the very nature of who she is and who they are and what has happened on this Earth. It is about women of love, of Spirit and of sex. It is about men of love, of Spirit and of sex. It is about the Cinderellas of this world. It is about the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™. Who she is and how, loving her is the secret to Paradise on Earth and how we have been living a lie for 8000+ years. A lie of male (non High Priest) religion with a male ‘God’ and with Patriarchs and Patriarchal types and Matriarchs and Matriarchal types ruling over us and making our lives hell, all in the name of family, the tribe and the way things are and should remain. Hate, fascism and profanity. A sick society that vilifies, more than anyone else, the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™, just because it was told to. A sick society that calls her Eve. A sick society that has forgotten who we all are, let alone the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and the Sacred Whore High Priest™. This is about us remembering and knowing who WE are.
This is a programme of healing for the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™, and the Sacred Whore High Priest™, to take them and particularly, her, from monstrous levels of low self esteem and lack of self knowledge, back to herself and it is a programme for all those who truly want to love her, and indeed, him. This is a programme for the greatest carers on Earth, who are vilified, destroyed, ridiculed, ignored, abused, used, misused and hated for being everything that those who would steal from us are not. This is a programme to turn Cinderellas into The Sacred Whore High Priestesses and for anyone who wants to love her or live by the values of the The Sacred Whore High Priestess Society™. And this is a programme to turn sensitive men into Sacred Whore High Priests™ and for anyone who wants to love him and live by the values of the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and High Priest Society. Love, humanity, Spirit and sex. This is a programme to reverse 8000+ years of witch burning, women hating and healer ridicule. This is about the The Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and all those who would love her and live by her values.
This is about the chance for Paradise on Earth. This is a programme for the most beautiful, kind hearted, wounded women and men on this planet. A programme of how to implement a system of how to beat life, how to survive life and how to resurrect from the grief that is a true life. Alchemy and Liberation and Humanity of the lower mind into the higher mind, the soul and the inner heart and therefore one's true, confident, ‘happy’, successful, creative, sexual, sensual, individual, intelligent, emotionally healed, capable of loving and being loved self. How to turn grief into creation and survive and thrive, despite all the shit, all the pain and all the hurt. How to live in a world of madness, hollowness and cruelty and how to be a winner. How to stand up for oneself and to take back the power that has been stolen from anyone with heart, Spirit and sex. The art and science of Alchemy.
This is a programme, based on my scholarly and non scholarly work over 15 years (so far), if not for my whole life, and my extensive and intense, visceral experiences of self transformation from resignation, cynicism and despair to a state of relative bliss, and above all, the right to be. The programme and the courses and my speaking and indeed my forthcoming book, will cover the method of change. The psychological, sociological, spiritual, cultural, political, emotional and physical and even anthropological methods of change. Why we are here. Who the Sacred Whore High Priestess™ is and why she is here. And who the Sacred Whore High Priest™ is. Why we are here. Who we are and what we are and why we are. The beauty and glory of the truth. The meaning of life, no less. This will be on offer in the future.
My first book of consciousness, my first book of the spiritual politics of humanity, of authentic power and of self love and strength. A comprehensive series of online courses, live events and audio and visual material. Books, live events, CDs and DVDs. And one on one personal empowerment consultations. The Amera Ziganii Rao Method of Change™. The right to be and the way to have the right to be. And indeed, how to maintain the will to live without love. How to BE unconditional, self sufficient, self caring, self love. The right to be and the will to be and the unparalleled success that comes with that. The Lost Knowledge™. HOW to live. And how to heal others, the profane and the sick and the soulless. The others. My Business and that of any Sacred Whore High Priestess™ and Sacred Whore High Priest™, is Human Rights, The Right to a Sexual Society, Self Actualisation and Freedom.
My Business is To Overthrow Fascism, in the Home and in the Country. My business is also mastering destiny. Overthrowing the ultimate 'fascism'. Our journey on Earth and The Return To The Source. Our healing, our ascension and our redemption. Fate. The daily crucifixions of a true life, the challenges and the fury of being healers and people of love on a planet like Earth.
Submitting to the journey to liberate and evolve oneself, through following one's heart, however much heartbreak and devastation it leads to on the long long long journey to freedom and then the longer journey to happiness. 'Long Road to Freedom', as Nelson Mandela says. My business is always taking risks, never giving up and making the endless sacrifices it takes to become whole. Enlightenment, Nirvana and then Parinirvana and beyond. My business is pain. My business is bliss.
My business is seeing the truly glory of Spirit on Earth. The Sacred Whore High Priestess Society™ and all that it is. Spirit, humanity, sex and love again at last. And the end of our legacy as either servants or witches or unpaid carers or indeed, ignored mistresses, other women, other men even, and the weirdos that are at the bottom of society. This is our world and it is time to take it back and I can show you how. And that makes my life, truly, worth living.
I want you to feel the way I do. Alive, with the right to be and the belligerence to exist in this profane and male ‘God’ led world of male supremacy, female supremacy, domestic, casual fascism, tribe rules from hell, with beautiful and kind, love intelligence laden, female and male Cinderella warriors at the bottom, caring for everyone else and getting nothing but hatred, ridicule and isolation for it. The meek are already inheriting the Earth and I can show you how.

I am THE High Priestess Monarch of the ancient past and I forgive you for becoming enslaved and taken over by the machines of the alien reptile force that invaded and took over Earth 8000 years ago. They taught you to hate me and my kind and you believed them. They told you I and my kind were dictators and that you were slaves, when all we had done was love you, honour you as companions and above all, we had let you just live.
We were the holy communers, the ones who gave birth to human beings, the leaders of society, the creators of society, the vehicles of Divinity on Earth and the channels of wisdom. The ones who looked after everything and the ones who built everything and ran everything, because we could. And because we loved it. We are and were the force of creation. And you loved us and you lived.
But they told you that you ‘deserved’ power too and that we were the ones standing in your way. And you believed them. The oldest ‘divide and rule’ strategy of hate in history and it worked. They used it and you bought it, hook, line and sinker. You had to give up sex, love, magic and your own spiritual gifts and you burnt, destroyed and violated me for 8000 years.
The world calls that male supremacy. And indeed, family supremacy, Matriarchal supremacy and supremacy of the material world and all who believe in it. Men and women like you. When all that you are are slaves to a reptile force to generate hate energy for them to live and thrive and vampire the human race. The puppets of a hate force, that chose to destroy women and men like me, for hate to grow, so they could live. You bought it and it worked. The greatest fraud in the history of the world.
I am THE High Priestess Monarch of the ancient past and I forgive you for becoming enslaved and taken over by the machines of the alien reptile force that invaded and took over Earth 8000 years ago. They taught you to hate me and my kind and you believed them. They taught you that my mind was evil. My mind, my sex, my body and my ways of life.
The humanity, the glory of sexuality and the glory of creation and creativity and the glory of Divinity in each and every one of us. Our souls. They taught you that human beings are separate from Divinity, that sex was wrong and that women who have minds of their own are uppity slaves. They vilified us but much much worse than that, they destroyed your relationship with all that is unseen, all that we honour and love.
They taught you to hate what is really God. By teaching you to hate us, you hated all that is good in yourselves. They taught you to hate the light. They taught you to kill us. The daughters of The Universe. The High Priestesses of God. The Spiritual Mothers. The Sacred Whore High Priestess Avatars of The Universe™. The Sacred Army of Love on Earth.
The Shamans, the Mystics and the Communers. The Hierophants.
They called me Eve and blamed me for the downfall of the human race and created the awesome profanity that is religion. Of men, by men and from men. Of reptiles, by reptiles and from reptiles. Christianity, Islam and Judaism and every other philosophy around the world was poisoned. There are no female spiritual leaders left. It is all profanity. They chose you to represent them because they wanted to divide us and they did. They told you to hate me. And you believed them. Now I am back and I forgive you.
I forgive you because I can. Because I came here to save your soul. And because I finally know who I am. I am THE High Priestess Monarch of the ancient past. I came here to return your soul to The Source. God, The Mother, The Universe. To return you to what is really God. Because I love you. And because She loves you and your kind, whatever you have done.
Whatever you have done to me and whatever you have done to Her. And most of all, whatever you have done to yourself. We forgive you. This is your redemption. Your freedom and your ascension. We are here to save your soul.

You bought the Sacred Whore like a piece of meat and you called that a wife. Your trophy wives. Your dancing girls. Your chattel and serving girls. Your piece of beauty. You bought us like you would cattle. Then you called it wives. Now you call it prostitution. The High Priestesses of the real God. You bought us to buy God, The Mother, The Universe and you caged us, separated us from our Divine gifts and skills in the Temple and drove us mad and then lost interest in us, because we had no gifts left, no excitement, no hunter in ourselves and no hope or joy left. Then you just called us mad and discarded us. You called us evil and you call love obedience, even though it had already killed us. You moved into our Temples and you played with the divination tools and thought you communed. The destruction of Atlantis was your gift.
You stole us from God, The Mother, The Universe and you tried to usurp us. You vilified us, enslaved us and you still envy us today. You call it intuition. You might want to think about this when you hate us out of your jealousy. The mystic gene means physical tortuous pain and taking on the empathy of the human race. All their pains, evils and dark thoughts. We see and feel everything. We make crucial sacrifices to be near Spirit and the unseen and we go without for years. To be shaman is not glamour. I make it glamour. To be shaman is a specific Samurai existence, ascetic and harsh. We commune to be guides. And you take that and you shame yourselves because you just want the meat. You didn’t just want the meat. You wanted our beauty of spirit, our personalities and our love and kindness. And you destroyed them, because you caged us and called us wife.

The High Priestess Sacred Whores, the High Priests and the true protectors. Those who do not have the gift like either the High Priests or especially like the highest of all, the High Priestess Sacred Whores but who honour, protect and facilitate them to the world. Who honour the Shaman Sacred Whores of this world most of all, and who know who they are and who they are not. Who know the difference, who do not envy and who protect and love the representatives of Spirit, GOD, THE MOTHER, THE UNIVERSE, on Earth. Who honour their wisdom and who honour the latent Shaman in themselves too and who honour the communing ability of the High Priestess Sacred Whores. The non violators. Our only friends. The New Society exists. It is called Enlightenment. It is called Love. It is The Holy Grail.

The master race. It's all a lie. You are brought up to be a despot king and it is only your sister who ever tells you that you have become a pratt. The master race is all a lie. There are no kings in an equal world. Your father was misinformed. What he brought you up to be was a killer. Pure and simple. A misogynist. A modern misogynist. A polite killer.

I enter the magical hours of pure feeling, pure thought, pure imagination and I think and I write and I 'mysticise' the Universe. I escape at will, the truth of my humanless, Samurai solitude, and I pursue the truth of love in myself and in everyone else. I am philosopher. I am shaman. I am alone. I frontier the Soul to be spirit on Earth.

In the meantime, please enjoy this website. I have included many of the subjects I am covering, areas of experience and insight that I will be exploring to the fullest in my book, the courses and all the other work that is to come as a dramatist, novelist and essayist. I also of course, include many of the wise people on this planet, who have come long before me; authors, screen dramatists, playwrights, film makers, artists, and other enlighteners and grand carriers of the wisdom I have found the most helpful on my journey, to find peace and become enlightened. The seemingly impossible journey, in the face of oneself and one’s circumstances. People who have contributed massively to my healing on this mad journey called life, in this insane existence called The Universe. People who have helped to make me as good a carrier of wisdom as I in turn, can be. Thank you.

Centaurs. The Conspiracies, Continued
This is an official explanation. I am far more interested in what I just heard. Centaurs, one of whom taught Achilles, were regarded by the Greeks as very badly behaved licentious drunkards who came to weddings to ravish the female guests. Well now....The Warrior Class's one common bond is that we are all vilified for being 'too intense', or 'too sexual' or 'too' anything. Hierophant is also depicted as half human and half animal. Hierophant is the Eve archetype. The Priestess, condemned for 8000 years in some twisted takeover story by the real 'infidels' of this world, not to use that stupid word lightly. Because she is the real prophet archetype, to 'interepret the will of Ewya' (James Cameron's Avatar). The Sacred Whore. The goddess. Who is the Centaur? The so called 'lothario' archetype? The real warrior man? The male wizard I have in front of me. Aren't the Centaurs the men you feel to be? Men of action, wisdom and sex? A man who chooses commitment rather than has it martially enforced on him? A man who is free? A man who then apologises for that freedom, even if his idea of freedom is within the sacredness of love? All that is the Sacred Pimp? The sacred truth of it. We all have a history. And Adam and Eve ain't it. We know that. We are all the so called rebels and troublemakers, however strait laced we have become. We are the same. From before the fall. Before 'the Greeks'. Before the reptiles. The soul never dies. We are in return.
The so called sexual predator (not the use of it in paedophilia) and the so called fast woman/slut/ladette whore/strong woman/whatever.
Are we not The Warrior Class? Amazons. Exactly. Be the elite. We have our own rules, because we serve love. And that takes our own disciplines and strategies, instead of suffocating what might not actually be there in the non Warrior Class at all. In other words, the ongoing healing of the 'rage problem'. Sacred love. Sacred war. Sacred passion. Sacred mind. Sacred life. Being what the fuck you want to be. Fighting for righteousness instead of power for ugly men. Being the real you. Again.
Be temperamental. Be testy. Be sexual. Be large. The malice comes from them.
And oh, there are female Centaurs too. Well now. (the Centaurs could be the Werewolves? The Hierophants, the Nymphs? - The Sacred Whore High Priestess Hierophant Avatar Valkyrie?)
Celebrate. Be magic. Play with the shit they gave us. Ascend. Nothing can stop the power of the mind. 'Mental slavery' indeed. (Bob Marley). Mental slavery. The last frontier. Good job we are all brilliant.

Centaurs
A centaur (pronounced /ˈsɛntɔː(r)/; Greek: Κένταυρος, Kéntauros, Latin: centaurus) or hippocentaur is a mythological creature with the head, arms, and torso of a human and the body and legs of a horse.
In early Attic and Beotian vase-paintings (see below), they are depicted with the hindquarters of a horse attached to them; in later renderings centaurs are given the torso of a human joined at the waist to the horse's withers, where the horse's neck would be.
This half-human and half-horse composition has led many writers to treat them as liminal beings, caught between the two natures, embodied in contrasted myths, both as the embodiment of untamed nature, as in their battle with the Lapiths (their kin), or conversely as teachers, like Chiron.
The centaurs were usually said to have been born of Ixion and Nephele (the cloud made in the image of Hera). Another version, however, makes them children of a certain Centaurus, who mated with the Magnesian mares. This Centaurus was either himself the son of Ixion and Nephele (inserting an additional generation) or of Apollo and Stilbe, daughter of the river god Peneus. In the later version of the story his twin brother was Lapithes, ancestor of the Lapiths, thus making the two warring peoples cousins.
Centaurs were said to have inhabited the region of Magnesia and Mount Pelion in Thessaly, the Foloi oak forest in Elis, and the Malean peninsula in southern Laconia. They continued to feature in literary forms of Roman mythology. A pair of them draw the chariot of Constantine the Great and his family in the Great Cameo of Constantine (c314-16), which embodies wholly pagan imagery.
The Centaurs are best known for their fight with the Lapiths, which was caused by their attempt to carry off Hippodamia and the rest of the Lapith women on the day of Hippodamia's marriage to Pirithous, king of the Lapithae, himself the son of Ixion. The strife among these cousins is a metaphor for the conflict between the lower appetites and civilized behavior in humankind. Theseus, a hero and founder of cities, who happened to be present, threw the balance in favour of the right order of things, and assisted Pirithous. The Centaurs were driven off or destroyed. Another Lapith hero, Caeneus, who was invulnerable to weapons, was beaten into the earth by Centaurs wielding rocks and the branches of trees. Centaurs are thought of in many Greek myths as wild as untamed horses. Like the Titanomachy, the defeat of the Titans by the Olympian gods, the contests with the Centaurs typify the struggle between civilization and barbarism.
The Centauromachy is most famously portrayed in the Parthenon metopes by Phidias and in a Renaissance-era sculpture by Michelangelo.
The tentative identification of two fragmentary Mycenaean terracotta figures as centaurs, among the extensive Mycenaean pottery found at Ugarit, suggests a Bronze Age origin for these creatures of myth. A painted terracotta centaur was found in the "Hero's tomb" at Lefkandi, and by the Geometric period, centaurs figure among the first representational figures painted on Greek pottery. An often-published Geometric period bronze of a warrior face-to-face with a centaur is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The most common theory holds that the idea of centaurs came from the first reaction of a non-riding culture, as in the Minoan Aegean world, to nomads who were mounted on horses. The theory suggests that such riders would appear as half-man, half-animal (Bernal Díaz del Castillo reported that the Aztecs had this misapprehension about Spanish cavalrymen). Horse taming and horseback culture arose first in the southern steppe grasslands of Central Asia, perhaps approximately in modern Kazakhstan.
The Lapith tribe of Thessaly, who were the kinsmen of the Centaurs in myth, were described as the inventors of horse-back riding by Greek writers. The Thessalian tribes also claimed their horse breeds were descended from the centaurs.
f the various Classical Greek authors who mentioned centaurs, Pindar was the first who describes undoubtedly a combined monster. Previous authors (Homer) only use words such as pheres (cf. theres, "beasts") that could also mean ordinary savage men riding ordinary horses. However, contemporaneous representations of hybrid centaurs can be found in archaic Greek art.
Lucretius in his first century BC philosophical poem On the Nature of Things denied the existence of centaurs based on their differing rate of growth. He states that at three years old horses are in the prime of their life while, at three humans are still little more than babies, making hybrid animals impossible.
Robert Graves (relying on the work of Georges Dumezil argued for tracing the centaurs back to the Indian gandharva), speculated that the centaurs were a dimly remembered, pre-Hellenic fraternal earth cult who had the horse as a tote. A similar theory was incorporated into Mary Renault's The Bull from the Sea. Kinnaras, another half-man half-horse mythical creature from the Indian mythology, appeared in various ancient texts, arts as well as sculptures from all around India. It is shown as a horse with the torso of a man in place of where the horse's head has to be, that is similar to a Greek centaur.
The Greek word kentauros is generally regarded as of obscure origin. The etymology from ken – tauros, "piercing bull-stickers" was a Euhemerist suggestion in Palaephatus' rationalizing text on Greek mythology, On Incredible Tales (Περὶ ἀπίστων): mounted archers from a village called Nephele eliminating a herd of bulls that were the scourge of Ixion's kingdom. Another possible related etymology can be "bull-slayer". Some say that the Greeks took the constellation of Centaurus, and also its name "piercing bull", from Mesopotamia, where it symbolized the god Baal who represents rain and fertility, fighting with and piercing with his horns the demon Mot who represents the summer drought. In Greece, the constellation of Centaurus was noted by Eudoxus of Cnidus in the fourth century BC and by Aratus in the third century.
Female Centaurs
Though female centaurs, called Kentaurides, are not mentioned in early Greek literature and art, they do appear occasionally in later antiquity. A Macedonian mosaic of the 4th century BC is one of the earliest examples of the Centauress in art. Ovid also mentions a centauress named Hylonome who committed suicide when her husband Cyllarus was killed in the war with the Lapiths.
In a description of a painting in Neapolis, the Greek rhetorician Philostratus the Elder describes them as sisters and wives of the male centaurs who live on Mount Pelion with their children.
"How beautiful the Centaurides are, even where they are horses; for some grow out of white mares, others are attached to chestnut mares, and the coats of others are dappled, but they glisten like those of horses that are well cared for. There is also a white female Centaur that grows out of a black mare, and the very opposition of the colours helps to produce the united beauty of the whole."
The idea, or possibility, of female centaurs was certainly known in early modern times, as evidenced by Shakespeare's King Lear, Act IV, Scene vi, ln.124–125: "Down from the waist they're centaurs, / Though women all above"
In the Disney animated film Fantasia, during the Pastoral Symphony, some of the main characters are female centaurs. However, the Disney studio called them "Centaurettes" instead of Kentaurides.....
.....In J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, centaurs live in the Forbidden Forest close to Hogwarts, preferring to avoid contact with humans. Although different from those seen in Narnia, they live in societies called herds and are skilled at archery, healing and astrology. Although film depictions include very animalistic facial features, the reaction of the Hogwarts girls to Firenze suggests a more classical appearance.

The Life You Were Born To Live. Dan Millman. The Number 5
(Your number and our number, but also a very good generic overview of struggle with ourselves and our way of living as a people and indeed, The Warrior Class. And of course, the added pressure of living, truly and utterly in a completely nonsensical, prison world. Slavery to freedom, through freedom with discipline. Another way of saying ego to soul. The BBC programme also talked of the disciplines of the warriors, the Amazons, not over doing anything, but with great mastery over all their appetites. Soul is that. Mastery. Ego is craving + escapism + need for affirmation + overloneliness = dehumanising disappearing craving, if you like. The one that makes you feel empty afterwards. Freedom and discipline = mastery = changing the flavour. Sex for sex and not sex for something else. The whole thing for me speaks from this piece. What could be called, the ingredients of intimacy. Intimacy is the word, long before commitment. Intimacy is the whole. Being present as yourself, because you have stopped hating yourself and stopped being afraid of yourself. The world has made you afraid. You are not afraid. You are just seeking certainty. Soul is stepping into that threshold utterly. Centering. Mastery. Opening the door. That top flap of your head, into The Universal Mind and The Universal Heart. Seeing and being the all. AZR)
5. Dan Millman. The Life You Were Born To Live
"As far as your self-control goes, as far goes your freedom." Maria Ebner Von Eschenbach.
" Imagine a bird soaring high above, feeling one kind of freedom. To experience life fully, it must land and go through the arduous task of building a nest. Through this discipline comes another kind of freedom, to experience the depths of its life. How have you felt free, and how have you felt trapped? Can you apply the discipline in your life to explore the depths and, in those depths, to find another kind of freedom?"
"Adventure is not outside; it is within." David Grayson
Life Purpose
Individuals working 5 as a life purpose are here to find inner freedom through discipline, focus and depth of experience. However, because the path to our life purpose can be steep and rocky, those with 5 as their primary life purpose (14/5s, 41/5s, 23/5s, and 32/5s) and all those with a 5 in their birth number experience difficulties in the areas of both freedom and discipline; they swing between dependence and independence, and although they may apply temporary, even heroic, discipline at times, they soon get bored with routine.
Ultimately, an experience of inner freedom stands paramount for 5s; without it, they feel like prisoners no matter what their circumstances; with it, nothing can bind them. Such inner freedom manifests in the world as self-reliance and independence of action. Until 5s have realized a sense of inner and outer freedom that flows from discipline and focus, they tend to alternate between feelings and situations of extreme dependence and reactive independence.
The quest for freedom and independence leads most 5s to seek a breadth of experience; yet they are here for more depth of experience. Discipline and focus lead 5s to a deeper experience of freedom.
The Essence of Freedom and Discipline.
Freedom, like love, means different things to different people. To some people, freedom means complete self-indulgence - doing what we want anytime we want it; in this sense, freedom seems to be the opposite of discipline, which implies sometimes doing what we'd prefer not to do. In the deeper sense, however, freedom finds its fullest expression when founded upon self-discipline and self-mastery.
For 5s, freedom manifests as a thirst for a broad range of experience and adventure on physical, emotional, mental, social, sexual, financial and spiritual levels. If independent, 5s find experience on worldly levels; if less independent or more insecure, 5s experience vicarious adventure through books, films, or television. The more mastery that 5s achieve in various arenas of life, the less they feel bound or controlled by them.
Most 5s feel empathy for the freedom fighters throughout history who have battled against tyranny, unlawful imprisonment, and servitude. In their own lives, 5s feel degrees of freedom ranging from extreme restriction to nearly unlimited options.
Ultimately, freedom means liberation from the illusions and bounds of life, even from bodily concerns, and entry into spiritual dimensions of experience. In everyday life, issues of freedom for 5s are a major point of sensitivity, underlying their relationships, work and finances.
Discipline is a key for 5s in that it provides the focus, commitment, and inner strength that overcome lack or limitation.
Challenges on the Path
Freedom 5s can, in the most negative sense, degenerate to mere self - indulgence, the absence of external restrictions - extreme independence as in doing whatever they want, whenever they want to do it. But such self-indulgence has little to do with the life purpose of 5s, which calls for the focus and discipline that lead to a sense of internal freedom, experience and the possibility of living with passion and adventure, like Zorba the Greek.
'Don't tie me up; don't lock me down!' is the battle cry of 5s, as they do battle often, for they resound to the call of freedom fighters everywhere. Theirs is a dramatic path, and if they don't encounter drama in the course of their daily life, they create it in their relationships or in their professional life. They fear being tied down by anyone or anything, and they have trouble committing to a relationship, depending on whether they view it as liberating or restricting.
At one time or another, nearly al 5s subconsciously create issues to work through in the area of freedom by involving themselves with someone who restricts, or who seems to restrict, their independence. Their tendency to go from extreme dependence to reactive independence gets projected upon their partner, and just as 8s may give away their power, 5s may give away their independence.
Sophia, an older woman, had created for herself a state of almost complete dependence on her husband, Goergio. Repressing her inner urges for freedom and adventure, Sophia stayed home all day, waiting for Georgio to come home. She did the housework, watched soap operas for emotional adventure, and centred her life around making meals for her husband. Georgio even had to take Sophia to the market to shop, because she had never learned to drive. Not that there's anything wrong with choosing to centre one's energies around the home, but Sophia's dependence was so extreme that she came to resent Georgio for 'trapping her' and felt she would leave him 'if she could'.
More recently, however, I learned that Sophia had a liberating experience; she took up a new discipline; at 65 years of age, Sophia learned to drive. She did indeed leave her husband - to drive to the park, then do some shopping. She even went to a movie - quite an adventure, on a scale perfect for her. We're never too old to start living. Sophia was born at 65 years of age to a life of greater freedom.
At the other extreme of rigid independence, Thomas cuts his own hair, even though he could easily afford a barber; he just doesn't want to become dependent. He also fixes his own car and repairs plumbing and electrical problems himself to avoid dependence on other people. He spends most of his time alone because he doesn't want to become dependent on a relationship. Thomas seems independent without a doubt, but this kind of independence has little to do with fulfilling the life purpose of 5s; it is only one extreme, a kind of independence that stems from a fear of dependence, and fear is the real prison.
Freedom and responsibility go together, as do independence and discipline. Nobody really holds 5s back but themselves. it may appear that someone else limits them, but when they take responsibility for choosing that person or situation in their life, they realise that they have been free all along. They realise that they have been the director and writer of their own movie. Individuals working 5 need to remember that they don't have to be bit players. Until they take full responsibility for their life, these 5s may look like victims, but they are really volunteers.
People working some of the other birth numbers focus mainly on one or two issues or goals in their lives; 5s have such a natural drive and curiosity to know something about almost everything that their energy gets scattered easily. 'So many possibilities, so little time' expresses a common sentiment of 5s. Multitalented, with a subconscious ability to access many resources and pull many abilities out of a hat, 5s reflect a kind of renaissance energy. The trickster, the jester, the juggler and the 'jack of all trades but master of none' are common 5 archetypes.
Some 5s who lack confidence for adventure in the real world find vicarious excitement and adventure through books, television, and movies to the point where they live through these media; soap opera and dramatic stars allow them access to experiences they might never have. Once they've tasted adventure through direct rather than vicarious experience however, 5s want more. they can even become addicted to experience, going from one adventure to another, taking risks to escape boredom or getting involved with drugs for the experience.
Addiction to adventure does not fulfil the destiny of 5s any more than making a lot of money satisfies the life purpose of 8s. As is the case with any life purpose, the idea is not to exploit to repress core issues but to transcend them. For 5s, this means avoiding total dependence on the one hand and extreme independence on the other hand - neither indulging tendencies nor ignoring them. Individuals working 5 need to realise a balanced sense of outer self-reliance or self-sufficiency that come from a sense of inner freedom, even while living a simple, functional, disciplined life with a certain amount of routine. This is quite a challenge for 5s, who often want to stir up some drama or create adventure rather than feel imprisoned by sameness and boredom day after day.
Until 5s begin to apply focus and discipline, they tend to develop moderate skills in many areas but rarely hit high gear in any one field; they skim across the surface of life, touching down in many areas, without reaching the depths.
A critical point to reiterate about the life purpose of 5s is that they are here not just for BREADTH of experience, but for DEPTH of experience. Perennial wisdom reminds us that, given the holographic nature of the universe, with spiritual laws at the core of real knowledge, by deeply knowing one thing, we can know many things. If 5s wish to feel independent and free, and master many fields, then they need to go into one field so deeply that they break through into the space where all fields connect. If they do not appreciate or apply this, 5s become like the well digger who dug a hundred wells but never hit water because he only dug halfway down to the spring. If he had dug deeply in just one well, he could have quenched his thirst. If 5s stay with something past the point of boredom, they break through to experience the freedom that waits in the depths of life.
With a natural curiosity and interest in many things, 5s are versatile, vivacious and quick thinking. Paradoxically, they often either become obsessively focused or find themselves scattered to the four winds while trying to juggle too many interests. Because they don't want to miss out on any opportunities, they constantly balance on the edge of adrenal exhaustion and flirt with burnout. Learning to choose priorities - to let go of one thing so that they can focus on another - can literally save the lives of some 5s. Otherwise, overextending themselves and taking on too many things can lead to nervous exhaustion.
While 4s meet with external tests in the world, the greatest challenges for 5s are internal. Given to negative thought processes, 5s can feel imprisoned by their own fears and doubts. They find true freedom by unlocking the shackles of their own psyche. People in our world experience bondage in many ways; some are bound by chains of hunger or economic blight, others are politically repressed or limited by their physical handicaps or circumstances, and others may find themselves in prison. But even when limited by physical circumstances, some people feel a sense of internal freedom, while others in the best of circumstances feel imprisoned. Eventually, 5s need to learn and completely appreciate that HUMAN BONDAGE IS STATE OF MIND.
The great secret 5s may discover is that through discipline, focus, and setting priorities, they can achieve ultimate freedom. The Law of Discipline can make all the difference in the destiny of 5s.
In order to avoid the extremes of indulgence and denial of their own tendencies, 5s can develop discipline through physical training, while practising cross-training within their set routine - engaging in different activities each day. Variety will better serve 5s than running six laps around the same track every day, putting their feet in the same prints they made the day before. With the balance of discipline and variety, 5s neither indulge their tendencies nor deny them.
When feeling self-doubt, 5s fear that circumstances or other people may restrict or limit them; feeling dependent on others, they become bossy, controlling and manipulative and try to get what they want through anger or other outbursts. Deliberately or out of unconscious habits they learned when young, 5s may use their quick mind to bluff, con or manipulate to get what they want instead of asking for it directly. In using other people to satisfy their own inner needs, they reinforce their feeling of dependence on others. Until they discover a sense of inner freedom dependent on no one else, 5s tend to swing from grudging dependence to rigid independence, playing out an external drama.
Some 5s subconsciously choose forms of limitation, including injuries, smothering spouses or partners, financial pressures, and figurative or literal imprisonment. In such circumstances, their inner life and imagination remain their last strongholds of freedom, their own world to control.
When 5s feel insecure or too ordinary, they sometimes identify with roles they consider somehow bigger or better than their ordinary selves. they use these roles as a shield of protection against their own projection - fearing that people might discover them as Dorothy and Toto discovered a kindly little man behind the screen instead of the great and powerful wizard of Oz.
When 5s bluff their way through life, they fall into their own traps; for example, they may play the role of a healer by putting on the clothing and taking on the airs without actually knowing much about healing. Such role-playing further weakens their confidence in their own essential core identity. These 5s tend to hide behind their roles because they undervalue their own essential nature and emotions. Feeling unsure about who they are when they take off the clothing, they develop chameleon like qualities. Their life tends to be intense and episodic, opening one chapter for a while, then closing it and going on to other people, other lives - building bridges and burning them - all the time seeking a sense of larger family, connection and home, while pursuing greater freedom.
An archetype for the roles 5s play is the central character portrayed by Tony Curtis in the film The Great Imposter, the true story of a man who impersonated a prison warden and a priest, and who even performed an emergency appendectomy while impersonating a ship's surgeon.
Those 5s who have applied discipline in their lives and have established a depth of experience can master their role of surgeon, lawyer, writer, martial arts instructor, engineer or teacher, while maintaining and valuing their own core identity.
As 5s come to recognise their inner freedom by applying critical discipline and focus in their life, they feel greater self-respect. With greater self-respect, they feel secure that they are more than the roles they play and that roles ar just the suits to be put on and taken off like the costumes worn by actors; they realise that the actors, not the roles they play, are really the stars of the show.
Similar to 3s, who work with emotional expression, 5s resonate to the energy of Mercury, the winged messenger. Quick minded, they want to reach out and touch many areas of life.
They make good salespeople because they've gathered a wealth of knowledge as well as breadth, so they can look at things from different angles. They may answer questions and then wonder 'Where did that answer come from?'
Most 5s are born with agile hands and nimble fingers that can sew, quickly learn to play musical instruments, work well with gadgets, and fiddle with and fix things. Quick-witted and quick learning, 5s try something once or twice and they seem to have it down. They get bored easily and need to remember that the feeling of boredom means they're JUST STARTING TO GET IT.
Many 5s pull off amazing accomplishments - winging it, flying through life by the seat of their pants, faking, living by their wits, keeping one step ahead of the creditors. In the long run, by applying the Law of Honesty, expressing what they want in an open way rather than finagling or jockeying for position, their lives work out far better.
Financially, 5s aren't overly concerned with money in the bank; in fact many 5s tend to spend money before they get it. If they have to choose between green pieces of paper in a bank vault and a real-life experience, they're going to go for the real-life adventure. they need to be careful about spending what they don't have, as that just adds pressure to a life that already tends to be dramatic enough. This drama can stress the sensitive nervous system and adrenals of 5s, who may also experience circulatory problems if they haven't achieved a degree of dietary discipline.
With their quick-minded, visual energy, many 5s have refined, even clairvoyant, potential. CLAIRVOYANCE means 'clear seeing', and 5s have a vivid visual imagination. While other people may get intuitive feelings or visceral 'hits', these 5s get pictures. When they start paying attention to these pictures and discovering their meaning, they develop a very good internal guidance system. For all 5s, life's message is 'Ask (for a sign) and you will receive'.
At the Summit; Potential and Destiny.
Those working 5 energy are the explorers and adventurers, here to discover what true freedom represents. At the summit of their mountain, 5s have reconciled and integrated discipline and freedom, using one to achieve the other. Rather than scattering their energies everywhere, trying to do too many things at once, mature 5s learn about the depths of life by focusing on one activity at a time, rather than scratching the surface of many areas.
These quick-witted and vivacious individuals have a renaissance energy that can inspire others to find their own freedom. These 5s also recognise that outer freedom is always relative, and usually limited, if one is to live within human society and interact with others, but inner freedom cannot be compromised, for our psyches are sanctified ground and our bodies are ours to control.
Individuals working 5 speak with an authority based upon depth of experience. They have demonstrated the discipline that leads to excellence, and they have balanced independence and freedom, even while fulfilling their responsibilities in daily life.
At the highest levels, 5s realise total and complete internal liberation and realise that they have always been free and that any dependence or restrictions they have experienced, they also helped arrange for their highest good and learning.
Action Checklist
The following actions can make a difference in the lives of those working 5 energy.
1. Develop some form of simple daily routine to establish discipline; be sure to mix variety within the routine.
2. Don't let boredom stop you from going deeply into a subject or activity.
3. Find a balance between the extremes of dependence and independence by observing when you slip into each side.
4. Strive to be direct in stating what you want or need.
Accessing Freedom and Discipline.
1. Think of someone you know, or imagine a film, literary or historical character - a role model who has achieved a measure of freedom and depth of experience through consistent discipline over time.
2. Imagine yourself as that person - focused and feeling free even in the midst of duties and responsibilities. In what specific ways can you put these qualities into practise and bring greater discipline and freedom into your life?

Shame is a 2011 British drama film cowritten and directed by Steve McQueen, starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. It was coproduced by Film4 and See-Saw Films. The film's explicit sexual scenes regarding sexual addiction resulted in it being rated NC-17 in the United States, where it opened on December second, 2011 on limited release. Shame was released in the United Kingdom on 13 January 2012. The film grossed $17,000,000 by the end of its world-wide theatrical run, including nearly $4,000,000 in the United States.
Brandon (Michael Fassbender) is a successful, handsome advertising executive in his thirties living a fantasy life with a dark side of satyriasis in New York City. Distanced from his dysfunctional family and seemingly without any close friends, his carefully cultivated life lets him indulge a growing secret sexual addiction, while struggling with his eroding ability to connect emotionally with anyone. During his morning commute to work, on a subway train he flirts by with a woman and she reciprocates. She has on both a wedding ring and an engagement ring, and when they exit the train, she disappears into the crowd.
His company's computer system has been compromised by a virus; in the clean-up, Brandon's computer hard-drive indicates an obsessive amount of surfing pornographic sites, one of which is probably the source of the virus. Although Brandon, who is driven to masturbate in the bathroom stall at work, is responsible, it is assumed by company heads that his intern is to blame.
Brandon and his married boss David (James Badge Dale) meet three women at a club. Later on, Brandon has sex with one of them, the woman David was actually pursuing earlier. When Brandon arrives home, he assumes a burglar is in his house but finds the unexpected visitor is his sister Sissy (Carey Mulligan). Sissy works as a part-time singer who has a few gigs in the city and asks to stay with Brandon; he later hears her pleading with her lover on the telephone not to reject her. Brandon is annoyed by Sissy's visit as she is emotionally needy, which he has no patience with, while also cramping his style, interfering and hindering his personal life, which forces him to think about the increasingly unhealthy obsessive path his life is taking.
The next morning at the subway station, Sissy is balancing herself on the edge of the platform. Brandon rebukes her, and in the brief exchange that follows Sissy persuades her brother to visit her as she performs at a club—something that he avoided in the past. Later, Brandon is joined by an enthusiastic David as they watch Sissy singing a very sad jazz version of "New York, New York", which makes Brandon emotional. Sissy joins Brandon and David at their table, where David courts her despite Brandon's evident dismay. Sissy accepts David's advances and has sex with him in her brother's bedroom while Brandon, disgusted, leaves his apartment and goes out running. Later that night, Sissy attempts to sleep in his bed with him, feeling detachment and apologetic. Enraged at her seemingly random behavior, he orders her out of the room.
Brandon's has a distant attraction to his co-worker Marianne (Nicole Beharie) and the two flirt with each other at work. On the way to dinner with her, he stops to observe a high-rise hotel, where he sees two people copulating against the window. The date is relaxed with sparks between the attractive couple but turns unintentionally personal as conversation steers on their affective differences: Marianne, who was recently separated, keeps a positive attitude toward commitment, while Brandon dislikes marriage and admits that his relationships have never lasted longer than four months. Although the pair seem very curious about each other, they part ways at the end of the night without kissing, each going home alone, which seems to be a turning point for Brandon, as he enjoys the fragile (but nonsexual) moment and she reciprocates.
Later that night, Sissy accidentally walks in on Brandon masturbating in his bathroom. He physically attacks her and accuses her of spying on him. She then finds his laptop open on a pornography web-cam site; the woman on the web-cam is familiar with him and assumes Sissy is his girlfriend. Brandon slams the laptop shut. Disturbed and upset, Sissy leaves. Brandon angrily throws out all of his pornographic magazines and his laptop. The next day, at work, he kisses Marianne and the two leave in their excitement. He takes her to the same high-rise hotel where he saw the two people copulating. The two caress each other and kiss in a nervous, passionate attempt to have sex but Brandon seemingly can not maintain an erection and appears heavily distressed. Marianne is saddened but seems to understand which is a turning point for Brandon, as he realizes he is unable to connect with her or (for that matter) anyone else except in a detached sexual way.
Marianne leaves, after which Brandon indulges with another woman against the window later that day. Afterwards, as she prepares to leave, he struggles with the fact that he can't have sex with someone he cares for, while feeling nothing for the women he does have sex with. Brandon is home watching cartoons when Sissy arrives. Knowing that she is emotionally dependent and has probably called David, he tells her that he is disgusted with her and that David won't be seeing her again because he has a wife and children. He accuses her of playing the victim; she claims she never noticed David's wedding ring. He tells her she needs to leave, that he feels trapped by her. She says that they are family and are supposed to help each other, but Brandon accuses her of being needy and a burden.
Brandon begins to unravel and when he goes to a bar his advances are less smooth and more desperate, as he gropes a woman while verbally enticing her. He ends up being beaten up by her boyfriend whom he has deliberately antagonised by making aggressive reference to his fantasies about her.
After he is denied entrance to a night-club he notices a gay bar across the street and curiously, desperately enters. He walks to the back, where several men are copulating; a man kisses Brandon and then fellates him. Upon leaving the bar, he listens to a voicemail message from Sissy telling him how much she needs him, and that they aren't bad people, they've just come from a bad place. Much like a drunk on a night of binge drinking, Brandon continues, visiting an apartment occupied by two prostitutes, where the three copulate.
While Brandon is riding the subway on his way home, the passengers are asked to leave the carriage due to an implied suicide further up the tracks. He frantically calls Sissy, but she does not answer, so he rushes home. When he gets there, Sissy, who has a history of cutting herself, is lying on the bathroom floor, having slashed her wrists. She survives and he comforts her in the hospital. After leaving, he collapses and cries in the rain. Some time later, Brandon is seen sitting on a subway train and the same woman from the beginning of the film sits across from him, this time he notices she is only wearing an engagement ring. He tries to look away, but she keeps staring at him and smiling. She stands up to leave the train and Brandon keeps staring at her. The train begins screeching to a stop. At the height of the noise, the screen cuts to black, leaving the audience to ponder Brandon's next decision.

......No. They taught you that kind of shame. Throw it out of the window. Master your glorious passions, not your shame. Heroism is self mastery. What they did was kill you. Sex is sacred. They are not. That is the single reason you will abdicate. When you can't take it anymore. Power is self esteem. Sexuality is self esteem. That's why everything is Eve's 'fault'. You were turned into a reproductive machine. I remember you as a man. A giant of a man.

.....Don’t worry. Sex and our relationship to our sexuality is the biggest key and threshold of them all. What all the work has been for. The entire spectrum has been for this. Rest. Let it go.
We are focusing on the two issues. First, we don’t trust ourselves and we feel like the filthiest animals on the planet. We don’t trust our own cravings and fantasies and imaginations and drives and for your archetype, you got silenced, much younger than mine. This is the key. Your apparent freedom was the naked exposure, my archetype suffers in a different way. And probably, from my first musings, later. We heal quietly as we are wounded quietly.
Everything you have done is visible and loud. And you are a male, ‘sexual predator’. Because you like sex and live by sensuality. And, like all The Warrior Class, your sexuality comes down the street, ten miles before you. You also like being a sexual dom and you feel out of control for it. These are the only two issues worth thinking about. They will evolve. Put that in a context of the sinister takeover that meant that all that is Eve was taboo under the penalty of death, well, it still is.
Think about your relationship with the sacred heart within you. And then think of your loins. What a great word. Loins. And feel the innocence. Ditch the shame. They taught you to hate yourself. I teach our love. Like it or not, our central drive is our sexuality. What Freud caused such a revolution with, that we mock him just as we mock anything to do with sexuality or the sacred or the healing of it, instead of the titillation or our dark hours behind closed doors.
Ditch the shame. Keep the kinkiness. That, we have worked for. The Return is pure. They are not, and it’s not their fault. It is however, your passport out and that’s what you are afraid of. You don’t want to lose them. You know who you want to be. And yes, sex is what is going to get in the way. You want life. They can’t.

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,
The Oppressor's wrong, the proud man's Contumely,
The pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,
The insolence of Office, and the Spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his Quietus make
With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered Country, from whose bourn
No Traveller returns, Puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have,
Than fly to others that we know not of.
Thus Conscience does make Cowards of us all,
And thus the Native hue of Resolution
Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment,
With this regard their Currents turn awry,
And lose the name of Action.

The Law of Perfection. Dan Millman
"From a transcendental perspective, everyone and everything is unconditionally perfect; from a conventional viewpoint, perfection doesn't exist - excellence is the best we can achieve, and achieving it takes time and practise."
"We are raised on comparison; our education is based on it; so is our culture. So we struggle to be someone other than who we are." J. Krishnamurti.
The Law of Perfection presents a paradox because it contains to apparently opposite truths, which operate at different levels of experience.
From a conventional view, this world is a place of suffering: crime in the streets, the hungry, the homeless, the oppressed. Even without the daily news, in our own lives, when we get what we don't want, we suffer; when we don't get what we do want, we also suffer; and even when we get exactly what we want, nothing lasts in this realm.
From a transcendental perspective - seeing ourselves and this world with all its difficulties from the all-encompassing wisdom and patience and love and understanding that comes when our hearts are open - then all of it, the joys and sorrows, the suffering and pleasure, and everything going on in this moment on planet Earth, is absolutely, completely perfect IN TERMS OF A GREATER PROCESS OF EVOLUTION.
This reminder of the bigger picture is the key for those of us who have perfectionist tendencies and higher vision, but who often lose perspective and worry about petty details. Leaping back to conventional reality, it is certainly no 'perfect' or okay that anyone is cold or hungry or in pain, but from the larger picture, we are cells on the great body of Earth, itself a tiny speck floating in the void of space, and our personal dramas and global politics no more significant than a group of ants who are washed away as someone hoses off their driveway.
Without the ability to leap to the bigger picture and take in all of the justice and all of the injustice - the entire drama of human existence - it is very hard to have a sense of humour in this world. As Woody Allen once said, "Not only is there no God, but try getting a plumber on Saturday!"
Those of us working with issues of vision and acceptance need to develop the ability to take this leap of faith, this mental shift out of our own body, our own life, our own drama, even our own socially conscious, politically correct psyche and see, accept and embrace ALL THAT THERE IS.
By accepting the ultimate perfection of every speck of matter, every circumstance and every person, even including ourselves, we can rest easy, remembering that however it may seem and no matter how scary it gets, everything is okay - in some sense - as we struggle painfully towards the truth, more beauty, more kindness and more love in the world.
This shift of perspective may require an understandable stretch for some of us, especially those who, when they try to make us leap, are pulled back down, with questions such as "perfect? What about the starving children?"
To such questions I can only answer that by accepting all things as perfect, we also accept our own responses and our own responsibility, which may certainly include doing what we can to help the world, to change things, to donate time or money, to raise awareness, to act.
That too is absolutely perfect. If we act out of guilt or out of a melancholy spirit, our actions have even less impact than if we hold a larger perspective even while doing our best to help alleviate suffering.
In general, we cannot alleviate suffering in others until we alleviate suffering in ourselves. We may be able to feed people and clothe them and help them to be self-sufficient; these are important steps, but they do not alleviate the fundamental causes of suffering or envy or greed in the human psyche. By our willingness to grasp the possibility that life is unfolding as it must, we have a head start. We come from a place of compassion, having learned as Joseph Campbell quoted from the Upanishads, "to go with joy among the sorrows of this world."
Even when we accept the perfection of OUR PROCESS OF UNFOLDING as we stumble, grow and evolve, this does not mean we are perfected; we still continue to change, to learn, to mature and to improve our lives in functional ways. We can also improve in the sense of expanding our moment-to-moment awareness and realisation of ultimate perfection.
But our self-improvement needs to come from a place of prior acceptance and joy of discovery and growth, rather than as a condition of self-worth. Perfectionists also need to remember that even while the world is perfect in the transcendental sense, from the conventional perspective, no perfection exists here on Earth. No person, performance or product is going to be perfect; as the Law of Perfection states, EXCELLENCE IS THE BEST WE CAN ACHIEVE, AND ACHIEVING IT TAKES TIME AND PRACTISE. No matter how hard we work or how skilful we become, we all continue to make mistakes; improvement just means our mistakes grow smaller. We also need to accept our mistakes as perfect - whether in relationships, work or any other arena. The Law of Perfection is therefore closely aligned to the Law of Flexibility and the Law of No Judgments.
This understanding of 'no perfection' can also help lift a burden from the shoulders of those of us who have extremely high vision and measure ourselves against unrealistic standards. We can all benefit from appreciating the perfection of imperfection.
We can develop the capacity to view the lessons of our daily lives as perfect in the way life arranges them at the right time and right place. Our high ideals and vision of what might be or what should be, however, are meant as beacons to call to us, to direct and inspire us - not as standards to judge ourselves by.
All sorts of events, both beautiful and terrible, can happen in our world; some we like and approve of, while others we dislike and resist. Perfect faith recognises that our mind cannot know or assume what is for our highest good; this faith inspires us to appreciate the perfection of imperfection. Such a recognition opens doors to an expanded sense of life.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of Perfection through direct experience and application.
Experiencing Perfection.
1. Recall a moment when you or your life felt perfect. Maybe it was a beautiful day, and the people around you were happy; maybe you felt good about yourself, your mind felt free of pressures or stress, and you expanded into the moment of pristine perfection.
2. Now recall a recent incident, interaction or occurrence in your life that felt unpleasant - that seemed far less than perfect.
3. Imagine what it would have felt like to expand inot that unpleasant situation with the same sense of perfection you have felt at other moments in your life. this may not feel easy at first, but remember; Practise makes perfect.
Applying the Law of Perfection.
1. Practise this simple act of remembering;
Ultimately, everything and everyone is perfect.
Conventionally, nothing and no one is perfect, except flow, change and fun.
2. Learn to say "Good enough!" "I'm good enough". "They're good enough!" "It's good enough - for now".
3. Whatever happens to us, or whatever we do, we can apply the Law of Perfection by asking ourselves, "In what way might this be perfect? A perfect lesson? A perfect opportunity? How can I shift my perception to make something perfect out of this?"

The Quiet Man and McLintock!
McLintock!
McLintock! is a 1963 comedy Western directed by Andrew V. McLaglen and starring John Wayne, with co-stars including Maureen O'Hara, Yvonne De Carlo, and Wayne's son Patrick Wayne. The film, produced by Wayne's company Batjac Productions, was loosely based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
Cattle baron George Washington "G.W." McLintock (John Wayne) is living the single life on his ranch. He is estranged from wife Katherine (Maureen O'Hara), who left him two years before, suspecting him of adultery.
When he isn't playing chess or breaking his own record for throwing a hat up onto the longhorn-shaped weather vane at the top of his house every time he comes home drunk, McLintock keeps busy with the ranch. He hires attractive widow Louise Warren (Yvonne De Carlo) as his cook and welcomes both her and her two children into his home, including grown son Dev (Patrick Wayne), who's handy with his fists.
McLintock butts heads with a local gadfly, Matt Douglas, and Territorial Governor Cuthbert Humphrey, a sleazy bureaucrat who is looking to discredit McLintock, settle the territory, and remove the local Comanche Indians. Sparks begin to fly as an unexpected turn of events results in brawls, gunfire, an Indian attack ... and the return of Mrs. McLintock, who wants custody over their daughter Becky (Stefanie Powers) (returning from college) and a divorce from G.W.
Becky comes home from school with her banjo-playing love interest, "Junior" Douglas (Jerry Van Dyke), but soon falls for Dev, and vice versa. McLintock approves of their engagement, then pursues Katherine through the streets and shops of town until he paddles her backside and gets her back.
The Quiet Man
The Quiet Man is a 1952 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by John Ford. It stars John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara, Barry Fitzgerald, Ward Bond and Victor McLaglen. The screenplay by Frank S. Nugent was based on a 1933 Saturday Evening Post short story by Maurice Walsh. The film is notable for Winton Hoch's lush photography of the Irish countryside and a long, climactic, semi-comic fist fight. It was an official selection of the 1952 Venice Film Festival. The film won the Academy Award for Best Director for John Ford, his fourth, and for Best Cinematography.
In the 1920s, Sean Thornton (John Wayne), an Irish-born American from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, travels to Ireland to reclaim his family's farm in Inisfree. He meets and falls in love with the fiery Mary Kate Danaher (Maureen O'Hara), the sister of the bullying, loud-mouthed landowner Squire "Red" Will Danaher (Victor McLaglen). Danaher, angry that Sean outbids him for the Thornton land adjacent to his property, initially refuses to sanction the marriage until several town locals, including the Catholic priest, Father Lonergan (Ward Bond), conspire to trick him into believing that the wealthy Widow Tillane (Mildred Natwick) wants to marry him, but only if Mary Kate is no longer living in his house. After learning the truth on Sean and Mary Kate's wedding day, an enraged Will refuses to give his sister her full dowry.
Sean, unschooled in Irish customs, cares nothing about the dowry, but Mary Kate is obsessed with obtaining it. The dowry represents her independence, identity, and pride. Angered and shamed by Sean's refusal to confront her brother and demand what is legally hers, she brands him a coward, and, despite living together, they are estranged as husband and wife.
Sean had been a boxer in the United States, a heavyweight challenger known as "Trooper Thorn". After accidentally killing an opponent in the ring, Sean hung up his gloves, vowing never to fight again. This is known to only one person in the village, the Church of Ireland minister, the Rev. Playfair (Arthur Shields).
Later, in an attempt to force Sean to confront Will, Mary Kate leaves him and boards a train departing Castletown and headed to Dublin. Infuriated, Sean drags her off the train, and, followed by the townspeople, forces her to walk the five miles to Inisfree from Castletown to the Danaher farm. Sean demands that Will hand over her dowry and threatens to return Mary Kate to his household if he refuses. Will finally relents and gives him the cash. Mary Kate and Sean throw it into a furnace together, showing that Mary Kate never cared about the money, but only what it represented. A long, memorable fistfight ensues between Sean and Will. They slug it out through the village, stop for a drink, brawl again, then become best friends. Sean regains Mary Kate's love and respect. Will and the Widow Tillane begin courting, and peace is returned to Inisfree.

Angels. BBC Radio 4. In Our Time
(the line about angels sleeping with the daughters of men again. It is reoccurring. Truth, truth and truth. However 'fantastical' it could be. Dream. Be anything you want to be. AZR)
Melvyn Bragg and guests discuss the heavenly host of Angels. George Bernard Shaw made the observation that "in heaven an angel is nobody in particular", but there is nothing commonplace about this description of angels from the Bible's book of Ezekiel:
"They had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.... As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle."
With angels like that, it is easy to see why they have caused so much controversy over the centuries.
What part have angels played in western religion? How did they get their halos and their wings? And what are they really: Gods or men?

Emmanuelle
Emmanuelle is the lead character in a series of French soft porn erotic movies based on a character created by Emmanuelle Arsan in the novel Emmanuelle (1959). Only films and episodes produced by the ASP ("Alain Siritzky Productions") film company are official and based on Arsan's character.
The name Emmanuelle (and its various spelling combinations) has gone on to become a by-word for erotic film.
Emmanuelle appeared as the nom de plume of Marayat Rollet-Andriane, a French-Thai actress born in the 1930s in Bangkok. Her 1957 book The Joys of a Woman detailed the sexual exploits of Emmanuelle, the "bored housewife" of a French diplomat. Rollet-Andriane's book caused a sensation in France and was banned.
Rollet-Andriane appears in the 1976 film Laure, which she wrote and which was directed by her husband, Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane, who asked to have his name removed from the credits, so direction is either credited to anonymous or Emmanuelle Arsan.
The producer of Laure, Ovidio Assonitis, claimed that all books published under the nom-de-plume Emmanuelle Arsan were written by her husband Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane rather than by Marayat .
Emmanuelle Arsan, the pen name of Marayat Rollet-Andriane, born in 1932 as Marayat Bibidh, also known as Marayat, Marajat, Kramsaseddinsh, Krasaesundh, Krassaesibor, Virajjakkam, Virajjakam, Virajjakari, Rollet - Andriane, Bibidh is a French novelist of Eurasian origin, best known for creating the fictional character Emmanuelle, a woman who sets out on a voyage of sexual self-discovery under varying circumstances.
Arsan was born in Bangkok, Thailand. At the age of 16 she was married to a French diplomat at UNESCO, Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane; the couple had two daughters. The novel Emmanuelle was published and distributed clandestinely in France without an author's name in 1959. Successive editions later bore the moniker Emmanuelle Arsan, who was subsequently revealed to be Marayat Rollet-Andriane. Though the novel was sometimes hinted to be a quasi-autobiography, it was later revealed that the actual author was Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane. Several more novels were published under the Emmanuelle Arsan moniker.
Following the success of the film adaptation Emmanuelle (1974), Arsan was the titular director and writer of the film Laure (1976) about the sexual discoveries of a younger "Emmanuelle" named Laure, again in an exotic setting. The film was in fact directed by Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane and by Roberto D'Ettorre Piazzoli, though Rollet-Andriane, reportedly frustrated with his collaboration with the producer Ovidio G. Assonitis, asked for the Emmanuelle Arsan name not to be associated to the project, resulting in the film being credited to an anonymous director.
She also appeared on screen under the stage name Marayat Andriane in the film The Sand Pebbles (1966) and in an episode of the American series The Big Valley ("Turn of a Card", 1967). Her only other film appearance, credited as Emmanuelle Arsan, was in Laure, which was also released under the title Forever Emmanuelle.
The first Emmanuelle film was the French Emmanuelle with the late Dutch actress Sylvia Kristel (1952-2012) in the title role. She came to be the actress best identified with the role. This film pushed the boundaries of what was then acceptable on screen, with sex scenes, skinny-dipping, masturbation, the "Mile High Club", rape, and a scene in which a dancer lights a cigarette and puffs it with her vagina. This film was created and directed by the French director Just Jaeckin.
Unlike many films that tried to avoid an X-rating, the first Emmanuelle film embraced it, and became a success with a viewing audience estimated at 300 million. It remains one of France's most successful films, and played in the Arc de Triomphe theatre for over eleven years. In France and the US the film was uncut, but British censors balked at masturbation and explicit sex. Heavy cuts were made to the film including the complete removal of the opium den rape and the infamous 'cigarette' sequence in the club.
Several sequels starring Kristel followed, beginning with Emmanuelle 2 known as Emmanuelle: The Joys of a Woman in its US release, and also Emmanuelle l’antivierge in some European press materials, including the soundtrack LP and CD. Kristel sold her interest for $150,000, missing on a share of the film's $26m domestic gross. She was paid $6,000 for her role but negotiated a $100,000 contract for the sequel, Emmanuelle 2.
Kristel stepped away from the role in the 1980s, yielding to younger actresses, but returned for the seventh feature film. In 1992 and 1993, Kristel reprised the role of an older Emmanuelle for a series of made-for-cable films with title such as Emmanuelle's Love and Emmanuelle's Perfume, which featured Marcela Walerstein as a younger version of Kristel's character. Kristel did not take part in any love scenes for this series, which also co-starred George Lazenby, also in a non-sexual role. Kristel also appeared in films throughout her career that capitalized on or parodied her Emmanuelle image, such as the American sex comedy Private Lessons.
A number of productions in Italy, Japan and the United States cashed in on the Emmanuelle craze, changing the spelling of the title. In a number of cases, the character's name was spelled "Emanuelle" suggesting these films were not authorized. Among the best known were Italian "Black Emanuelle" films starring Laura Gemser, who became the second most popular actress to play Emanuelle in the 1970s. The 1978 spoof Carry On Emmannuelle (with double "N") starred Kenneth Williams as the French ambassador to London. Having lost his libido by landing on a church spire during a parachute jump, he discovers his sex-starved wife, Emmannuelle Prevert, has seduced a string of VIPs. It starred Suzanne Danielle in the title role.
After the last official Emmanuelle theatrical feature film, Emmanuelle au 7ème ciel (the seventh film for which Kristel returns as the main character), ASP took Arsan's character to made-for-cable instead. These included a science fiction series in the 1990s called Emmanuelle in Space starring American actress Krista Allen in one of her first roles. Emmanuelle: The Private Collection introduced Natasja Vermeer in the lead role for another slew of video episodes, one featuring an erotic showdown with Count Dracula.
At the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, Alain Siritzky said he was looking for a new Emmanuelle, with production on the first film scheduled to begin in September. It was announced at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival that Allie Haze (performing under the alias Brittany Joy) had been chosen.
The character of Emmanuelle is also featured in a video game of the same name, released by Coktel Vision in 1989.

The Law of the Present Moment. Dan Millman
"Time doesn't exist; what we refer to as 'past' and 'future' have no reality except in our own mental constructs. The idea of time is a convention of thought and language, a social agreement; in truth, we only have this moment."
"The present moment is a powerful goddess." Goethe.
The idea that 'time doesn't exist' may seem like abstract philosophy. After all, in a practical sense, time clearly exists, doesn't it? We have watches and calendars; we have memories of things past; and we can safely assume that certain future events will happen. Meanwhile, the clocks keep on ticking away the seconds and minutes and hours of our lives. So it may seem patently absurd to suggest that time doesn't exist.
If we examine our own minds very closely, however, we get a flickering look at another possibility - that ONLY NOW EXISTS. Our sense of 'passing time' as we wait in line at the post office is only an array of impressions and memories as we exist in one present moment, and the next and the next.
When we feel regrets about the past, that past doesn't exist except in our mind right now, where we keep the regret alive with pictures we conjure up. When we feel anxiety about the future, that future doesn't exist except in our mind right now, where we keep the anxiety alive with the pictures we imagine.
The Law of the Present Moment is not an abstract concept; TIME is the abstract concept. This law is not just for philosophers to appreciate; it is for us all to apply, especially when we get stuck in regrets about the past or concerns about the future. As we get used to the idea of the eternal present, bringing our attention back to NOW, we can change our life forever. Forever, of course, is also now.
Most of our worries, regrets and problems do not exist in this moment; they are kept alive by the pictures, feelings and associations stored in our mental files under 'past' and 'future'. The job interview that is happening tomorrow - 'tomorrow' being an idea in our mind - becomes real as we think about it; the argument with a loved one, with all its tears and guilt, is but a phantom of history, resurrected as we think of it and regret what we said in 'the past'.
The Law of the Present Moment can sweep our psyche clear of debris and return us to a state of simplicity and inner peace. It won't help us in the future, however, and it never happened in the past. The Law of the Present Moment reminds us about reality as it is, not as we think it is, wish it was, or hope or fear it may be. Only this timeless moment exists. Everything else is part of the mind's magic lantern show.
Normally, when we have a problem, it involves something that has already happened, whether two seconds or two decades ago, or something that we anticipate will happen in what we call the future. We almost never have a problem in the present moment.
Present moment.....For example, Rudolph is sitting on a park bench, in the middle of his midlife crisis. His wife is leaving him; his daughter is getting her PhD in shopping with his last credit card; the bank just sent someone over to nail a 'Foreclosure Sale' sign on his front door; his son needs bail money for driving while drunk in a stolen car. Rudolph's life is in shambles. Or is it? Didn't we begin this little scenario as he sat on a park bench? In the moment, just sitting is Rudolph's reality. He may have to deal with other moments and other problems, but right now, he has no problems. He is just sitting on a park bench.
Our body lives in the present moment. Despite all the thoughts we may have about past mistakes or future problems, we can call upon the Law of the Present Moment, reminding ourselves that only now exists. All we have to do is make the most of relaxing into and embracing THIS moment, and put one foot in front of the other, as we handle what appears right now, one moment, one step at a time.
Those of us who like to skip steps can learn to rest in the present moment. Those of us who tend to take shortcuts to get where we're going can rest easy, take a deep breath and remember that only now exists.
Those of us who get confused or impatient, who think a lot about future plans, can begin to recognise that plans are thoughts, and thoughts change. They only exist in time and time only exists in the mind. Applying the Law of the Present Moment takes practise, as does any law. We may feel ourselves getting tense, worried or upset about a thought of past or future as it passes through our mind; then we remember where we are - here and now; then we forget. Then we remember more and more, so that the quality of our present moments improves.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of the Present Moment through direct experience and application.
Experiencing the Present Moment.
1. Contemplate the following questions;
Do you actually experience the passing of time or just the passing of thoughts?
Can you live in any moment but this one?
Does the past exist at all, in any sense, except in the form of written records, stored memories, and stored tensions you keep alive in the present?
Does the future exist at all, in any sense, except in your own mind's expectations and projections?
Does your power reside in the past, the future or the present?
2. Let the question go, take a deep breath and relax into the eternal present.
Applying the Law of the Present Moment.
1. Bring to mind a memory of a past regret, a past anxiety or a past impatience.
2. Now ask yourself; Did the feeling stem from something that actually happened in that moment? Or did the feeling stem from thoughts about the past or future that passed through your mind in that moment?
3. Finally, ask yourself; Do you have any problems or upsets in your life right NOW? Not in general, but NOW - this instant? How many actual moments do you experience this problem for?

Sacred Love. Amera Ziganii Rao
The first thing to remember is this. Spiritual power is not a nebulous and esoteric thing, outside normal life. Spiritual power, spiritual strength, is love. The intelligence of love is spirit.
Commitment is a spiritual ascension. Changing the DNA of your ego, to transform it into soul. Our problem is that we are brought up in a world of banned sexuality. We have no rules or guidelines for the real truth.
Commitment is an ascension, and, despite the obvious 'gender' difference on the matter, commitment does cover everything.
That's the good news. Certainty. How you ascend into that has to be natural. Spiritual power is the ability to truly love, be intimate with anyone and not have to be fragmented all over the place, because showing up as yourself is so frightening.
It's also purifying the sex emotion. Again, in a stupid society, The Warrior Class cannot compute their rules. The bad news is that we have to follow spiritual laws instead. Real purification, not the 'catholic' double standards kind.
The good news is that this was the plan from the beginning. Don't waver. Remember what you want and begin to accept that it takes sacrifice. By the time you purify, it won't matter anymore. Purifying is facing yourself. Ending the running away.
Then the flavour can be decided. In soul. This, is what religion has turned into carnal lust and whatever the other kind is. Well, it is. Ego craving and escapism and need to conquer and serial stranger love, serial crushes, serial extra curricular is great. I loved it. Then I loved. And here I am. And it took time, purification, ascending my ego into soul and centering into myself.
It also took something else. Love.
I am not giving the usual judgment for one moment. I wondered if I could do it. I could. And if I could, the bar is set. Gender does not apply. That is not easy for a man to integrate. That's the special suitcase you carry. I'll leave you to deal with that.
I'll give you the generic that covers it though. Especially if it's not about both people being in the room together with extra curricular, let's just say. The true Dom and Sub, let's just say. The generic is this. Selfish love.
I moved from selfish love to unselfish love. Ascension. Soul.
The flavour of sexuality only gets better. That's the secret.
But like everything, a process. Your love is driving you. It's a process.

Mad Men Series 6. The Rundown
The sixth season of the American television drama series - Mathew Weiner's Mad Men premiered on April 7, 2013, with a two-hour episode, and concluded on June 23, 2013. It consisted of thirteen episodes, each running for approximately 47 minutes in length. AMC broadcast the sixth season on Sundays at 10:00 pm (ET) in the United States. The season premiered in the UK on Sky Atlantic on April 10, 2013.
Season 6 takes place between December 1967 and November 1968, with characters struggling to adjust to the changing office dynamics based on the ongoing counterculture movement around them.
Roger receives news of his mother's death, and several members of his family attend the funeral, including estranged daughter Margaret, who attempts to mooch Roger into giving her husband's fridge business advertising. Peggy becomes increasingly dictatorial at her job in Cutler, Gleason and Chaough, and saves a Super Bowl ad from CGC from being pulled. Ken Cosgrove becomes suspicious of the intentions of mysterious brown-nosing junior accounts man Bob Benson. Betty visits Greenwich Village after she learns that a violin-prodigy friend of Sally's left for there after spending the holidays at the Francis household. Meanwhile, Don takes a Christmas vacation in Hawaii with Megan. Later, it is revealed Don is having an affair with neighbor Sylvia Rosen (Linda Cardellini).
Pete and Trudy host a dinner party for their neighbors in Cos Cob. Pete invites his neighbor's wife, Brenda, to meet him in Manhattan at Pete's city apartment, and he seduces her. Brenda shows up at Pete and Trudy's backdoor, after being beaten by her husband, to whom she has revealed her dalliance. The next morning Trudy kicks Pete out after she finds out about the encounter. Megan reveals to Sylvia that she has miscarried, though Don was unaware that she was pregnant. Megan expresses guilt over her relief that she has been spared a difficult decision regarding the pregnancy. Don later returns home to Megan, who confides in him about her miscarriage. The Heinz Baked Beans representative, a client of Sterling Cooper Draper Price (SCDP), brings the Heinz Ketchup representative in for a meeting, but later makes clear that SCDP is to have no further contact with Ketchup. Stan lets slip to Peggy, who now works at rival agency CGC, that SCDP has a meeting with Ketchup. Peggy relays the Heinz news to her boss, Ted Chaough, who orders Peggy to ready a CGC pitch. Client Herb Rennet of Jaguar returns to the SCDP office and rubs Don and Joan the wrong way. Don has flashbacks to his adolescence growing up in a brothel, where his stepmother Abigail moved them after Don's father died.
SCDP begins to make a pitch for Heinz Ketchup, but is later found out by Heinz Baked Beans and promptly fired as advertising firm. Joan fires Scarlett, Harry Crane's assistant, when Scarlett has Dawn punch her time card in Scarlett's absence. Furious, Crane bursts into a partner's meeting and questions why Joan has a partnership stake at SCDP, when he has brought in clients and revenue many times over, earning his accomplishments "by the light of day". Head writer of Megan's soap opera, To Have And To Hold, Mel (Ted McGinley) and his wife Arlene, have dinner with Don and Megan and (unsuccessfully) encourage the couple to join them in group sex.
Peggy and Megan are up for an advertising award for Heinz Beans, though neither works for SCDP anymore and Heinz is no longer client. Paul Newman is addressing the ceremony when someone shouts out that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has been assassinated. Work shuts down at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce in order to deal with the news, and regularly scheduled television programming has been temporarily replaced by news reports about the assassination and resulting riots. Don takes Bobby to see Planet of the Apes.
Don fires Jaguar during a tense dinner with Herb Rennet, Rennet's wife Peaches, Megan, and Megan's visiting mother, Marie Calvet (Julia Ormond). This jeopardizes the planned IPO (which Don was unaware of), and Joan, upset to learn that her sexual tryst with Rennet, which helped to secure the Jaguar account, has now been negated, angrily makes her feelings known. Roger has managed to get SCDP into a previously closed meeting with GM for the new Chevy. SCDP loses the Vicks Chemical Company account after Pete Campbell runs into his father-in-law at a brothel. Don drinks at a hotel bar in Detroit with Ted Chaough, from Cutler Gleason and Chaough, and proposes their two firms merge in order to win the Chevy account. After their success, Don and Ted declare a visibly distraught Peggy the copy chief of the new firm and task her with writing the press release announcing the merger of the two companies.
The newly merged creative team brainstorms how they will market margarine, for Fleischmann's. Don, who is trysting with Sylvia, shows up late, as the meeting wraps, and Ted Chaough chastises him. As a peace offering, Don shares drinks with Ted, but the latter ends up visibly drunk, earning Don Peggy's ire. Don, playing a dominant sex role, sequesters Sylvia in a hotel room, keeps her in the dark about when he'll return. He takes the book she is reading with him to read on his flight to Buffalo. After a dream wherein Don dies in a plane crash, and Sylvia attends his funeral and must comfort Megan, Sylvia ends the affair. Joan falls ill, and Bob Benson discreetly escorts her to the hospital and secures expedited treatment. Roger fires Benson's supervisor, Burt Peterson (for a second time), but Joan saves Benson's job. Robert F. Kennedy is assassinated.
The creative team works through the weekend on the Chevy campaign, after Chevy rejects the seventh proposal in six weeks. Ted and the CGC creatives attend Frank Gleason's funeral. Jim Cutler hires a physician to inject the creative staff with a stimulant meant to give them inspiration and enhanced energy for 72 hours. Don and Megan leave Don's children alone in the apartment, with Sally as babysitter. Sally interrupts a disheveled, African American burglar (Davenia McFadden), who pretends to be their "Grandma Ida". Don recalls the time he had a chest cold and was molested by a prostitute named Aimee Swenson (Megan Ferguson), who took care of him when he was sick and then stole his virginity. Don spends his time looking for an old advertisement whose images and message were inspired by the prostitute, and honing a pitch to renew his affair with Sylvia Rosen, instead of working on the Chevy proposal. Gleason's daughter Wendy and Stan Rizzo (whose cousin was killed three months earlier in Vietnam) seek solace for their losses by having sex. Don finds his wife and children, the police, and Henry and Betty Francis waiting for him at home after the robbery, and then collapses. The next morning, he has made some resolutions.
Megan's performance as twins on the set of To Have and To Hold gets criticized by the director. Arlene later visits Megan at the apartment, at Megan's invitation, to console her. When Megan says she feels lonely, Arlene tries to kiss her but is rebuffed. Peggy is fearful after Abe gets stabbed in the hand in their neighborhood. She later gets startled at home and accidentally stabs him in the abdomen. During the ambulance ride to the hospital, Abe breaks up with her. Pete and Duck Phillips (Mark Moses) have a discreet lunch, where Duck questions Pete's role at the merged agency. Betty gets lost on the way to Bobby's summer camp, and after seeing Don at a gas station, follows him the rest of the way. The three bond again, and later that night Betty and Don have sex in Betty's room at the lodge. The next morning the encounter is repressed, as Betty and Henry sit together while Don sits by himself. Roger gives Joan a gift for Kevin, saying that he wants to be part of his son's life. Joan counters that Greg, who is absent and perceived as a war hero, is the better father figure and Roger is not dependable.
Set against the backdrop of the 1968 Democratic National Convention and ensuing confrontation between police and protestors in Chicago, Don, Roger, and Harry travel to Los Angeles to meet with clients, including Carnation. The three attend a Hollywood party, where Don smokes hashish and hallucinates about a pregnant, hippie Megan. Don winds up face down in the pool and Roger saves him. In New York, Joan meets a client for cosmetics giant Avon. Seeing this as her opportunity to bring some legitimacy to her status as a partner, Joan deliberately cuts Pete out of a meeting. After a scolding from Ted and Pete, Peggy saves Joan with a fake phone call from Avon. Ted informs the other partners that he has broken through the management layers at Chevy, and Jim Cutler later adds Bob Benson to the account, without input from Roger or Don, who are still in California. "Sterling Cooper & Partners" is decided as the name of the recently merged firm.
Roger tells Don of a potential new client, Sunkist. They inform Ted prior to their partners meeting and Ted loses his temper because he and Jim have been preparing a proposal to land Ocean Spray, which would present a conflict. Sally and her friend, Julie, are staying with Don and Megan in order to attend a Model U.N. meeting in Midtown. In the lobby they meet the Rosens' son, Mitchell. Megan learns that Mitchell has dropped out of college and has been classified as 1-A, making him eligible for the military draft. Don then discusses Mitchell's situation at a client dinner that evening with Chevy, and the next morning Ted informs Don of a connection he has in the Air National Guard that can help with Mitchell's situation, but only agrees to help if Don drops Sunkist. Don tries to contact Dr. Rosen and gets Sylvia instead, who is overjoyed that Don has intervened. Julie informs Sally that she wrote a love letter to Mitchell, signed Sally's name, then slipped it under door of the Rosen's apartment. Sally goes back to the building and receives keys for the hotel from the doorman. Sally goes to to the Rosen's apartment to retrieve the letter and sees Don and Sylvia having sex, and Sally runs out of the room. Later that night Don returns to his apartment, and Dr. Rosen and Mitchell drop in to thank Don. Sally storms off to her room. Sally locks the door and Don tries to explain that Sylvia was upset and he was only trying to comfort her, adding that the situation is "complicated." Don asks Sally if she understands and goes off to bed.
While upland hunting in Michigan with two Chevy executives, Ken Cosgrove is accidentally shot in the side of his face with birdshot. Back in New York, Ken confides to Pete Campbell that he can no longer deal with the personal stress that Chevy is causing him. Pete sees this as his opportunity to finally handle Chevy and suggests to Ken that he manage the account. The firm's partners agree to the arrangement, and have Bob Benson on the account, too. Pete learns from Duck Phillips that Bob lied about his background. Pete tells Bob of his discovery, but reveals nothing to the firm so that he can maintain control over Bob. Don takes a day off from work, and Harry Crane calls to tell Don that Sunkist wants to expand their print ad campaign to television. Don cites the conflict with Ocean Spray, but Harry insists to the point where Roger and Don inform Jim and Ted about the development. Don tries to make it up to Ted by backing him up during a pitch to St. Joseph Aspirin, but warns Ted that his affection toward Peggy has been clouding his judgment. Betty informs Don that she and Henry are considering sending Sally to boarding school for girls. Betty and Sally take an overnight trip to visit a school. The next day, while driving home, Betty informs Sally that the school's feedback about her was positive.
Stan tells Don he is offering to relocate to California to support Sunkist and build a west coast presence for the agency "one desk at a time." The agency receives an RFP from Hershey's Chocolate and Jim assigns Don to make a pitch. Don tells Megan he wants to move to California after spending a night in jail and suggests she could pursue her acting career there. Pete receives a telegram saying that his mother has fallen from a cruise ship and is lost at sea, and later finds out she married nanny Manolo, whom Pete blames for pushing her off. Ted comes to Peggy's apartment and says that he wants to leave his wife and be with her. Ted later reconsiders and decides he wants to move to California with his family, ostensibly to manage Sunkist but also to distance himself from his feelings for Peggy. Ted asks Don to approve the arrangement but is rejected. Don then makes a brilliant pitch to Hershey executives, but as they prepare to leave, Don reveals his real childhood -- as an orphan raised in a brothel -- to the room and tells Hershey's they don't need an ad campaign. He then decides to give Ted the Sunkist account. Ted informs Peggy and Don informs Megan of the Sunkist news, which infuriates both women. The partners have a meeting in the morning of Thanksgiving and tell Don that his unpredictable behavior has forced them to insist that he take a mandatory leave of absence of at least a few months, with Peggy filling in for Don due to Ted's impending move to Los Angeles. Pete visits Trudy on Thanksgiving before catching a flight to Los Angeles, where he is moving. Joan invites Roger over for Thanksgiving dinner, but to be in Kevin's life and not hers. Following the partners' meeting, Don picks up his children and shows them the now-dilapidated brothel he grew up in.

Melvyn Bragg and guests discuss the Apocalypse. George Bernard Shaw dismissed it as “the curious record of the visions of a drug addict” and if the Orthodox Christian Church had had its way, it would never have made it into the New Testament. But the Book of Revelation was included and its images of apocalypse, from the Four Horsemen to the Whore of Babylon, were fixed into the Christian imagination and its theology. As well as providing abundant imagery for artists from Durer to Blake, ideas of the end of the world have influenced the response to political, social and natural upheavals throughout history. Our understanding of history itself owes much to the apocalyptic way of thinking.
But how did this powerful narrative of judgement and retribution evolve, and how does it still shape our thinking on the deepest questions of morality and history?

Aragorn
Aragorn II, son of Arathorn is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He is one of the protagonists of The Lord of the Rings. Aragorn was a Ranger of the North, first introduced with the name Strider at Bree, as the Hobbits continued to call him throughout The Lord of the Rings. He was eventually discovered to be the heir of Isildur and rightful claimant to the thrones of Arnor and Gondor. He was also a confidant of Gandalf and an integral part of the quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron.
He led the Fellowship of the Ring following the loss of Gandalf in the Mines of Moria. When the Fellowship was broken, he tracked the hobbits Merry and Pippin with the help of Legolas the elf and Gimli the dwarf to Fangorn Forest and fought in the battle at Helm's Deep and the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. After defeating Sauron's forces in Gondor he led an army of Gondor and Rohan against the Black Gate of Mordor to occupy Sauron's attention so that Frodo and Sam would have a chance to destroy the One Ring.
At the end of The Lord of the Rings he was crowned King Elessar Telcontar of Gondor. He married Elrond's daughter Arwen, and assumed the Sceptre of Annúminas as King of Arnor, uniting the two kingdoms for the first time since the reign of Isildur.
The son of Arathorn II and his wife Gilraen, Aragorn was born on 1 March, T.A. 2931. Through his ancestor Elendil (whom he closely resembled) Aragorn was a descendant of the first king of Númenor, Elros Tar-Minyatur; the twin brother of Elrond.
When Aragorn was two years old, his father was killed while pursuing orcs. Aragorn was afterwards fostered in Rivendell by Elrond. At the request of his mother, his lineage was kept secret, as she feared he would be killed like his father and grandfather if his true identity as Isildur's heir became known. Aragorn was renamed Estel ("hope" in Tolkien's invented language of Sindarin) to hide his existence from Sauron and his servants. He was not told about his heritage until he came of age in 2951.
Elrond revealed to Aragorn his true name and ancestry, and delivered to him the shards of Elendil's sword Narsil, and also the Ring of Barahir. He withheld the Sceptre of Annúminas from him until he "came of the right" to possess it. Aragorn met and fell in love with Arwen, Elrond's daughter (whom he mistook for Tinúviel), when she had returned from Lórien, her mother's homeland.
Aragorn thereafter assumed his role as the sixteenth Chieftain of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, and went into the wild, living with the remnants of his people, whose kingdom had been destroyed through civil and regional wars centuries before.
Aragorn met Gandalf the Grey in 2956, and they became close friends. At Gandalf's request, the Rangers began to guard the Shire, inhabited by the diminutive and agrarian Hobbits. In the areas around the Shire and Bree he became known as "Strider".
From 2957 to 2980, Aragorn undertook great journeys, serving in the armies of King Thengel of Rohan (King Théoden's father) and of Steward Ecthelion II of Gondor (father of Denethor). His tasks helped to raise morale in the West and to counter the growing threat of Sauron and his allies, and he acquired experience that he would later put to use in the War of the Ring. Aragorn served his lords during that time under the name Thorongil (Eagle of the Star). With a small squadron of Gondorian ships, he led an assault on Umbar in 2980, burning many of the Corsairs' ships and personally slaying their lord during the Battle of the Havens. After the victory at Umbar, "Thorongil" left the field, to the dismay of his men, and went East.
Aragorn also travelled through the Dwarves' mines of Moria and to Rhûn and Harad, where (in his own words) "the stars are strange".
In 2980, he visited Lórien, and there again met Arwen. He gave her the heirloom of his House, the Ring of Barahir, and, on the hill of Cerin Amroth, Arwen pledged her hand to him in marriage, renouncing her Elvish lineage and accepting mortality, the "Gift of Men". Elrond withheld from Aragorn permission to marry his daughter until such time as his foster son should be king of Gondor and Arnor reunited. To marry a mortal, Arwen would be required to choose mortality and thus eventually deprive the immortal Elrond of his daughter; and Elrond feared that in the end Arwen might find the prospect of death (her own and that of her husband) too difficult to bear.
Gandalf grew suspicious of the ring belonging to the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins, which was later discovered to be Sauron's One Ring. Gandalf asked Aragorn to track Gollum, who had previously possessed the Ring. This hunt led Aragorn across Rhovanion, and he finally captured Gollum in the Dead Marshes northwest of Mordor and brought him captive to King Thranduil’s halls in Mirkwood, where Gandalf questioned him.
In The Fellowship of the Ring, Aragorn joined Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's adopted heir, and three of his friends at the Inn of the Prancing Pony in Bree. The four hobbits had set out from the Shire to bring the One Ring to Rivendell. Aragorn, going by the nickname "Strider", was then aged 87, nearing the prime of life for one of royal Númenórean descent.
With Aragorn's help the Hobbits escaped the pursuing Nazgûl and reached Rivendell. There Frodo volunteered to destroy the Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, and Aragorn was chosen as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring to accompany him. The Fellowship also included Gandalf, the Hobbits Pippin and Merry along with Frodo's faithful gardener Samwise Gamgee, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, and Boromir of Gondor. Before the company departed, Elven-smiths reforged the shards of Narsil into a sword, setting into the design of the blade seven stars (for Elendil) and a crescent moon (for Isildur), as well as many runes. Aragorn renamed the sword Andúril (meaning "flame of the west" in Sindarin), and it was said to have shone with the light of the Sun and the Moon.
Aragorn accompanied the group through their attempted crossing of the pass of Caradhras, and subsequently through the mines of Moria. After Gandalf was lost there in battle with a Balrog, Aragorn led the company to Lothlórien and then down the river Anduin to the Falls of Rauros. Originally he planned to go to Gondor to aid its people in the war, but after the loss of Gandalf he became increasingly concerned about his responsibilities to Frodo and the quest. The Fellowship, however, now quickly fell apart: Frodo decided to continue his journey alone (accompanied by Sam) and Boromir was killed while defending Merry and Pippin, who were captured by orcs.
In The Two Towers, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli (calling themselves the Three Hunters) set off to track the Uruk-hai, hoping to rescue Merry and Pippin. They encountered Éomer, who was pursuing rumours of an orc raid in the area. From Éomer, Aragorn learned that the orcs that kidnapped Merry and Pippin had been slaughtered, and that no hobbits were found among the remains. Dejected, he led Legolas and Gimli to the site of the battle. Clues led Aragorn to believe that the hobbits might still be alive, prompting him to lead the party into Fangorn Forest. They found not the hobbits, but Gandalf the White (whom they initially mistook for Saruman), sent back from death to continue his duties in Middle-earth. Gandalf told them that the hobbits were in the care of the Ents of Fangorn. Together, the four travelled to Edoras in Rohan, where Gandalf freed Théoden from Saruman's enchantment and helped him muster the Rohirrim against Saruman. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli then helped the people of Rohan in the Battle of the Hornburg, in which they decisively defeated Saruman's army.
In The Return of the King, Aragorn used a palantír and revealed himself to Sauron as the heir of Isildur, in order to distract Sauron's attention from Frodo, who was approaching Mordor. Sauron believed that the One Ring had come into Aragorn's hands; therefore he made his assault on Minas Tirith prematurely and without adequate preparation. In order to defend the city, Aragorn entered the Paths of the Dead, and summoned the Dead Men of Dunharrow who owed allegiance to the king of Gondor. It had been prophesied by Isildur and Malbeth the Seer that the Dead would be summoned once more to pay their debt for betraying Gondor millennia before. With their aid the Corsairs of Umbar were defeated. Aragorn, a small force of Rangers, and a large contingent of men and soldiers from the southern regions then sailed up the Anduin to Minas Tirith. When they arrived at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, Aragorn unfurled the royal standard that Arwen had made for him, showing both the White Tree of Gondor and the jewelled crown and seven stars of the House of Elendil. With the help of the southern forces the armies of Gondor and Rohan rallied and defeated Sauron's army.
To continue to distract Sauron's attention from Frodo's quest, Aragorn led the armies of the West to the gates of Mordor, where Sauron attacked with overwhelming force. But at that moment the Ring was destroyed, and Sauron and his forces were vanquished.
The restoration of the line of Elendil to the throne of Gondor is a subplot of The Lord of the Rings; Aragorn's adventures not only aid Frodo in his quest, but also bring him closer to his own kingship – which, though his by right and lineage, has been left unclaimed for centuries due to historical, legal, and military circumstances. The royal house of Gondor descended from Elendil, but through Anárion, Isildur's brother. After Isildur's departure, Meneldil, son of Anárion, had severed Gondor from Arnor politically, although the formal title of High King remained with the northern line as Isildur was Elendil's elder son. When Gondor's throne became vacant in T.A. 1944, the separation of the kingdoms had been reinforced when the Steward Pelendur rejected the claim of the northern prince Arvedui (Eärnil, a lateral member of the House of Anárion, was eventually chosen king instead). But Arvedui's wife was also of the House of Anárion, so Aragorn descended not only from Elendil and Isildur but also from the ruling family of Gondor. By the time of the Lord of the Rings, however, Gondor had been under the rule of the Stewards of Gondor for centuries, as it was widely doubted that any of the royal line still lived.
In The Return of the King, the Steward Denethor, who years before had seen "Thorongil" as a rival for his father's favour, declared that he would not bow to a descendant of Isildur. Aragorn healed Faramir, Denethor's heir, who had been expected to die; Faramir, unlike his father, recognized Aragorn as his lord and the rightful heir to the throne. Aragorn's humility and self-sacrifice gained him the hearts of the inhabitants of Gondor's capital city. His healing abilities were noted also by the people of Gondor; as Ioreth said, "The hands of the King are the hands of a healer, and so shall the rightful king be known". The people hailed Aragorn as King that same evening.
Despite his immediate success and popularity, however, Aragorn decided to lay aside his claim to the throne for the time being. He knew that if he aggressively promoted his claim, rival claimants or debates over his legitimacy might ensue, and this could be a fatal distraction for Gondor at a time when the West needed to be united against Sauron. So to avoid conflict he left Minas Tirith and symbolically refused to enter it again until he was crowned King.
In order to ensure safe passage across Mordor for Frodo to fulfil his quest, Aragorn then led the Army of the West out from Minas Tirith to make a diversionary feint on the Black Gate of Mordor itself in the Battle of the Morannon. Gandalf had been given supreme command of the war effort after the Pelennor Fields, and acted as chief spokesman in the parley with the Mouth of Sauron; but Aragorn commanded the allied troops during the battle and its aftermath.
Upon Sauron's defeat, Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar (translated as Elfstone in Quenya), a name given to him by Galadriel. (In Sindarin this becomes Edhelharn.) He became the twenty-sixth King of Arnor, thirty-fifth King of Gondor and the first High King of the Reunited Kingdom. His line was referred to as the House of Telcontar (Telcontar being Quenya for "Strider", the name he was known by in Bree). The Appendices of Return of the King explain that Aragorn married Arwen shortly afterwards, and ruled the Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor until the year 120 of the Fourth Age. His reign was marked by great harmony and prosperity within Gondor and Arnor, and by a renewal of communication and cooperation between Men, Elves, and Dwarves, fostered by his vigorous rebuilding campaign following the war. Aragorn led the forces of the Reunited Kingdom on military campaigns against some Easterlings and Haradrim, re-establishing rule over much territory that Gondor had lost in previous centuries. He died at the age of 210, after 122 years as king. It is said that the graves of Meriadoc and Peregrin (who had died in Gondor 58 years prior) were set beside his. He was succeeded on the throne by his son, Eldarion. Arwen, gravely saddened by the loss of her husband, gave up her mortal life shortly afterwards and was laid to rest in Lothlórien. Arwen and Aragorn also had at least two daughters.
Upon hearing of Aragorn's death, Legolas built a grey ship in Ithilien, and sailed down Anduin and so to the Undying Lands; and with him, it is said, went Gimli the Dwarf. "And when that ship passed an end was come in Middle-earth of the Fellowship of the Ring."
Tolkien gives a brief but detailed description of Strider in The Fellowship of the Ring: lean, dark and tall, with shaggy dark hair "flecked with grey", grey eyes, and a stern pale face. It is also stated that he was the tallest of the Company. Some time after the publication of the books, Tolkien wrote that he was at least 6 ft 6 in (198 cm) tall. Although he was 87 years old at the time of the War of the Ring, this was the prime of life for a Dunadain of royal blood, and Tolkien wrote that to those unaware of his lineage he appeared to be "a weatherbeaten forty-five." In "The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen", found in the Appendices, he was said to be often grim and sad, with unexpected moments of levity.
Aragorn possessed Elven wisdom – due to his childhood in Rivendell with Elrond – and the foresight of the Dúnedain. He was a skilled healer, notably with the plant athelas (also known as Kingsfoil). He was a mighty warrior and an unmatched commander; after the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, he, Éomer and Imrahil were said to be left unscathed, even though they had been in the thick of the fighting. Due to his position as Isildur's heir, Aragorn had impressive powers for a man, and, as the rightful owner of the palantír of Orthanc used it to declare himself as the heir of Isildur to Sauron, seeking to distract Sauron from Frodo.
Though he was wise and strong, he was not immune to self-doubt. He doubted the wisdom of his decisions while leading the Fellowship after the loss of Gandalf in Moria, and blamed himself for many of their subsequent misfortunes.
Aragorn, son of Arathorn was called the Dúnadan ("Man of the West/Númenórean", given by Arwen in Lothlórien and much used by Bilbo), Longshanks (given by Bill Ferny in Bree), Strider (by which he was known in Bree and the outlying areas), and Wingfoot (given by Éomer after discovering that Aragorn had travelled 45 leagues in four days in pursuit of Pippin, Merry, and their Uruk-hai captors). He was the founder of the House of Telcontar (Telcontar is "Strider" in Quenya, after the nickname given him by the rustics of the North), which ruled Gondor well into the Fourth Age of Middle-earth; in records, his full regnal name is given as Elessar Telcontar ("Elfstone Strider"). Envinyatar (meaning "the renewer") is another name by which he referred to himself when he claimed the elfstone. He was known as Estel ("hope") before coming of age, to protect his true lineage from Sauron's forces, which were seeking the heir of Isildur. He was also known as Thorongil ("Eagle of the Star") in his younger days when he travelled across Middle-earth and took up service in Rohan and Gondor (often by protecting camps and raiding enemy strongholds like he did when he crossed the Corsairs of Umbar).
Aragorn's character and story arc underwent a series of developments and name changes before the version seen in The Lord of the Rings, as Tolkien did not have the full plot of the story or its background planned out when he started writing.
The "first germ" of the character that later evolved into Aragorn or Strider was a peculiar hobbit met by Bingo Bolger-Baggins (precursor of Frodo Baggins) at the inn of The Prancing Pony. His description and behaviour, however, was already quite close to the final story, with the difference that the hobbit wore wooden shoes, and was nicknamed Trotter for the "clitter-clap" sound that they produced. He was also accounted to be "one of the wild folk – rangers", and he played the same role in Frodo's journey to Rivendell as in The Lord of the Rings.
Later Tolkien hesitated about the true identity of "Trotter" for a long time. One of his notes suggested that the Rangers should not be hobbits as originally planned, and that this would mean that Trotter was either a man, or a hobbit who associated himself with the Rangers and was "very well known" (within the story). The latter suggestion was linked to an early comment of Bingo: "I keep on feeling that I have seen him somewhere before". Tolkien considered that Trotter might be Bilbo Baggins himself, but soon rejected that idea after Aragorn identified himself.
Another suggestion was that Trotter was Fosco Took (Bilbo's first cousin), who vanished when a lad, owing to Gandalf". This story was further elaborated, making Trotter a nephew of Bilbo, named Peregrin Boffin, and an elder cousin of Frodo. He was said to have run away after he came of age, some 20 years before Bilbo left the Shire, and had helped Gandalf in tracking Gollum later. A hint was also given as to why Trotter wore wooden shoes: he had been captured by the Dark Lord in Mordor and tortured, but saved by Gandalf; a note was added by Tolkien in the margin, saying that it would later be revealed that Trotter had wooden feet.
The conception of Trotter as a hobbit was eventually discarded. Another short-lived idea was to make Trotter "a disguised elf-friend of Bilbo's in Rivendell,” and a scout from Rivendell who "pretends to be a ranger".
It was not until after Book I was written that Tolkien finally settled on the Mannish identity of Trotter, introducing him from the beginning as Aragorn, a "descendant of the ancient men of the North, and one of Elrond's household". While the history of Númenor and the descendants of Elros and Elendil was not yet fully developed, the germs of it were in existence, and would come to be connected with The Lord of the Rings as the character of Aragorn developed.
The development of Aragorn's connection to Gondor was long and complex, as was his association with Boromir. Initially it is said that Aragorn's forefathers were the exiles of Númenor who ruled over the people of Ond (the early name of Gondor) but were driven out by the Witch King "when Sauron raised a rebellion". The story of the two branches of Elendil's descendants ruling over two kingdoms of Men through many generations only emerged gradually; at one time, Tolkien even seems to have conceived only three generations between Isildur and Aragorn.
Aragorn's relationship with Arwen was established very late in the writing. When Tolkien first introduced Éowyn, the interest she showed towards Aragorn was not one-sided, with suggestions in notes that they would marry at the end of the story. Another proposal was that Éowyn would die to save or avenge Théoden, and Aragorn would never marry after her death.
The first mention of Elrond's daughter, named Finduilas, was made in reference to the banner she made for Aragorn, but Tolkien did not give any hint whether she had any further part to play. The references to her marriage with Aragorn came later, but it was explicitly stated only near the completion of the book. Only in his work on the appendices for The Lord of the Rings did Tolkien record the full tale of Aragorn and Arwen.
A passing idea was that Galadriel gave her Ring to Aragorn, and that he would accordingly be titled the "Lord of the Ring".
The original nickname Trotter was retained for a long time, and Tolkien decided to change it to Strider only after the story was completed. There were also several experimental translations of Trotter to Sindarin: Padathir, Du-finnion, and Rimbedir, with Ethelion possibly an equivalent of Peregrin (Boffin). Before the later title "the Dúnadan" emerged, Tarkil (Quenya for 'noble Man') was used, as a synonym for Númenórean.
Tolkien hesitated for some time over Strider's "real" name. Although Aragorn was the first suggestion when his Mannish descent was determined, the name was changed a number of times. At one point Tolkien decided that an Elvish name does not suit a Man, and thus altered it from Aragorn via Elfstone to Ingold, an Old English name with ing- representing "west". Later, however, a new plot element was introduced: Galadriel's gift of a green stone, and Tolkien reverted to Elfstone in order to make an additional connection. This was retained into the final version of the legendarium as a translation of Elessar.
Among other names Tolkien considered Elfstan, Elfmere, Elf-friend, Elfspear, Elfwold and Erkenbrand, with various Elvish forms: Eldamir, Eldavel, Eledon, Qendemir. The name of Aragorn's father also passed through many transient forms: Tolkien paired Aramir or Celegorn with Aragorn before settling upon Arathorn; Elfhelm and Eldakar with Elfstone and Eldamir; and Ingrim with Ingold.
Aragorn has been referred to as a Christ-as-King character; Tolkien's use of philosophy has been compared to the Old Testament's foretelling of the coming of the messiah.

Mick Jagger
Sir Michael Philip "Mick" Jagger (born 26 July 1943) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the lead vocalist and a founder member of The Rolling Stones.
Jagger's career has spanned over 50 years, and he has been described as "one of the most popular and influential frontmen in the history of rock & roll". His distinctive voice and performance, along with Keith Richards' guitar style, have been the trademark of the Rolling Stones throughout the career of the band.
Jagger gained much press notoriety for admitted drug use and romantic involvements, and was often portrayed as a countercultural figure. In the late 1960s Jagger began acting in films (starting with Performance and Ned Kelly), to mixed reception. In 1985, Jagger released his first solo album, She's the Boss. In early 2009, he joined the electric supergroup SuperHeavy.
In 1989 Jagger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Rolling Stones. In 2003 he was knighted for his services to music.
Mick Jagger was born into a middle-class family in Dartford, Kent, England. His father, Basil Fanshawe ("Joe") Jagger (13 April 1913 – 11 November 2006), and his grandfather David Ernest Jagger were both teachers. His mother, Eva Ensley Mary (née Scutts; 6 April 1913 – 18 May 2000), born in New South Wales, Australia, of English descent, was a hairdresser and an active member of the Conservative Party. Jagger is the elder of two sons (his brother Chris Jagger was born on 19 December 1947) and was brought up to follow in his father's career path.
In the book According to the Rolling Stones, Jagger states "I was always a singer. I always sang as a child. I was one of those kids who just liked to sing. Some kids sing in choirs; others like to show off in front of the mirror. I was in the church choir and I also loved listening to singers on the radio – the BBC or Radio Luxembourg – or watching them on TV and in the movies."
From September 1950, Keith Richards and Jagger (known as "Mike" to his friends) were classmates at Wentworth Primary School in Dartford, Kent. In 1954, Jagger passed the eleven-plus, and went to Dartford Grammar School, where there is now the Mick Jagger Centre, as part of the school. Having lost contact with each other when they went to different schools, Richards and Jagger resumed their friendship in July 1960 after a chance encounter and discovered that they had both developed a love for rhythm and blues music, which began for Jagger with Little Richard.
Jagger left school in 1961. He obtained seven O-levels and three A-levels. Jagger and Richards moved into a flat in Edith Grove in Chelsea, London, with a guitarist they had encountered named Brian Jones. While Richards and Jones were making plans to start their own rhythm and blues group, Jagger continued his business courses at the London School of Economics, and had seriously considered becoming either a journalist or a politician. Jagger had compared the latter to a pop star.
1960s
In their earliest days; the members played for no money in the interval of Alexis Korner's gigs at a basement club opposite Ealing Broadway tube station (subsequently called "Ferry's" club). At the time, the group had very little equipment and needed to borrow Alexis' gear to play. This was before Andrew Loog Oldham became their manager. The group's first appearance under the name the Rollin' Stones (after one of their favourite Muddy Waters tunes) was at the Marquee Club, a jazz club, on 12 July 1962. They would later change their name to "the Rolling Stones" as it seemed more formal. Victor Bockris states that the band members included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart on piano, Dick Taylor on bass and Tony Chapman on drums. However, Richards states in Life, "The drummer that night was Mick Avory—not Tony Chapman, as history has mysteriously handed it down..."
Mick Avory himself, however, has categorically denied on many occasions " that he played with the Rollin' Stones that night. In fact he only rehearsed twice with them in the Bricklayers Arms pub, before they became known as the Rollin' Stones. Some time later, the band went on their first tour in the United Kingdom; this was known as the “training ground” tour because it was a new experience for all of them. The line-up did not at that time include drummer Charlie Watts and bassist Bill Wyman. By 1963, they were finding their stride as well as popularity. By 1964, two unscientific opinion polls rated them as Britain's most popular group, outranking even the Beatles.
By the autumn of 1963, Jagger had left the London School of Economics in favour of his promising musical career with the Rolling Stones. The group continued to mine the works of American rhythm and blues artists such as Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley, but with the strong encouragement of Andrew Loog Oldham, Jagger and Richards soon began to write their own songs. This core songwriting partnership would flourish in time; one of their early compositions, "As Tears Go By", was a song written for Marianne Faithfull, a young singer being promoted by Loog Oldham at the time. For the Rolling Stones, the duo would write "The Last Time", the group's third number-one single in the UK (their first two UK number-one hits had been cover versions) based on This May Be the Last Time, a traditional negro spiritual song recorded by the Staple Singers in 1955. Another of the fruits of this collaboration was their first international hit, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". It also established the Rolling Stones’ image as defiant troublemakers in contrast to the Beatles' "lovable moptop" image.
Jagger told Stephen Schiff in a 1992 Vanity Fair profile: "I wasn't trying to be rebellious in those days; I was just being me. I wasn't trying to push the edge of anything. I'm being me and ordinary, the guy from suburbia who sings in this band, but someone older might have thought it was just the most awful racket, the most terrible thing, and where are we going if this is music?... But all those songs we sang were pretty tame, really. People didn't think they were, but I thought they were tame."
The group released several successful albums including December's Children (And Everybody's), Aftermath, and Between the Buttons, but in their personal lives and behavior were brought into question. In 1967, Jagger and Richards were arrested on drug charges and were given unusually harsh sentences: Jagger was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for possession of four over-the-counter pep pills he had purchased in Italy. On appeal, Richards' sentence was overturned and Jagger's was amended to a conditional discharge (he ended up spending one night inside Brixton Prison) after an article appeared in the Times, written by its traditionally conservative editor William (now Lord) Rees-Mogg, but the Rolling Stones continued to face legal battles for the next decade. Around the same time, internal struggles about the direction of the group had begun to surface.......
.........After Jones's death and their move in 1971 to the south of France as tax exiles, Jagger and the rest of the band changed their look and style as the 1970s progressed. He also learned to play guitar and contributed guitar parts for certain songs on Sticky Fingers (1971) and all subsequent albums (with the exception of Dirty Work in 1986). For the Rolling Stones' highly publicised 1972 American tour, Jagger wore glam-rock clothing and glittery makeup on stage. Later in the decade, they ventured into genres like disco and punk with the album Some Girls (1978). Their interest in the blues, however, had been made manifest in the 1972 album Exile on Main St. His emotional singing on the gospel-influenced "Let It Loose", one of the album's tracks, has been described by music critic Russell Hall as having been Jagger's finest ever vocal achievement.
After the band's acrimonious split with their second manager, Allen Klein, in 1971, Jagger took control of their business affairs after speaking with an up-and-coming front man, JB Silver, and has managed them ever since in collaboration with his friend and colleague, Rupert Löwenstein. Mick Taylor, Brian Jones's replacement, left the band in December 1974 and was replaced by Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood in 1975, who also operated as a mediator within the group, and between Jagger and Richards in particular.
While continuing to tour and release albums with the Rolling Stones, Jagger began a solo career. In 1985, he released his first solo album She's the Boss produced by Nile Rodgers and Bill Laswell, featuring Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, Jan Hammer, Pete Townshend and the Compass Point All Stars. It sold fairly well, and the single "Just Another Night" was a Top Ten hit. During this period, he collaborated with the Jacksons on the song "State of Shock", sharing lead vocals with Michael Jackson. For his own personal contributions in the 1985 Live Aid multi-venue charity concert, he performed at Philadelphia's JFK Stadium; he did a duet with Tina Turner of "It's Only Rock and Roll", and the performance was highlighted by Jagger tearing away a part of Turner's dress. He also did a cover of "Dancing in the Street" with David Bowie, who himself appeared at Wembley Stadium. The video was shown simultaneously on the screens of both Wembley and JFK Stadiums. The song reached number one in the UK the same year.
In 1987, he released his second solo album, Primitive Cool. While it failed to match the commercial success of his debut, it was critically well received.
In 1988, he produced the songs "Glamour Boys" and "Which Way to America" on Living Colour's album Vivid. 15–28 March, he had a solo concert tour in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka). The 22 March show was the Japanese artist Tokyo Dome's first performance.
Wandering Spirit was the third solo album by Jagger and was released in 1993. It would be his only solo album release of the 1990s. Jagger aimed to re-introduce himself as a solo artist in a musical climate vastly changed from that of his first two albums, She's the Boss and Primitive Cool.
Following the successful comeback of the Rolling Stones' Steel Wheels (1989), which saw the end of Jagger and Richards' well-publicised feud, Jagger began routining[vague] new material for what would become Wandering Spirit. In January 1992, after acquiring Rick Rubin as co-producer, Jagger recorded the album in Los Angeles over seven months until September 1992, recording simultaneously as Richards was making Main Offender.
Jagger would keep the celebrity guests to a minimum on Wandering Spirit, only having Lenny Kravitz as a vocalist on his cover of Bill Withers' "Use Me" and bassist Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers on three tracks.
Following the end of the Rolling Stones' Sony Music contract and their signing to Virgin Records, Jagger signed with Atlantic Records (which had signed the Stones in the 1970s) to distribute what would be his only album with the label.
Released in February 1993, Wandering Spirit was commercially successful, reaching No.12 in the UK and No.11 in the US, going gold there. The track "Sweet Thing" was the lead single, although it was the third single, "Don't Tear Me Up", which found moderate success, topping Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart for one week.
In 2001, Jagger released Goddess in the Doorway spawning the hit single "Visions of Paradise". In the same year, he also joined Keith Richards in the Concert for New York City, a charity concert in response to the 11 September attacks, to sing "Salt of the Earth" and "Miss You".
He celebrated the Rolling Stones' 40th anniversary by touring with them on the year-long Licks Tour in support of their career retrospective Forty Licks double album.
In 2007, the Rolling Stones made US$437 million on their A Bigger Bang Tour, which got them into the current edition of Guinness World Records for the most lucrative music tour. Jagger has refused to say when the band will retire, stating in 2007: "I'm sure the Rolling Stones will do more things and more records and more tours. We've got no plans to stop any of that really."
In October 2009, Jagger and U2 performed "Gimme Shelter" (with Fergie and will.i.am) and "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" at the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert.
The Stones finally played the Glastonbury festival headlining on Saturday June 29, 2013.
On 20 May 2011, Jagger announced the formation of a new supergroup, SuperHeavy, which includes Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman.
Jagger has featured on will.i.am's 2011 single "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)". It was officially released to iTunes on 4 February 2012.
On 21 February 2012, Mick Jagger, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck along with a blues ensemble performed at the White House concert series before President Barack Obama. When Jagger held out a mic to him, Obama sang twice the line "Come on, baby don't you want to go" of the blues cover 'Sweet Home Chicago', the blues anthem of Obama's home town.
Jagger hosted the season finale of "Saturday Night Live" on 19 and 20 May 2012, doing several comic skits and playing some of the Rolling Stones' hits with Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, and Jeff Beck.
Jagger performed in 12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief with the Rolling Stones on 12 December 2012.
Jagger is known for his many high-profile relationships. He has been married twice and has had numerous romantic connections.
In 1970, Mick Jagger purchased Stargroves at East Woodhay in Hampshire as his country estate. It was often used as a recording venue.
In the same year, he began a relationship with Nicaraguan-born Bianca De Macias, whom he married on 12 May 1971, in a Catholic ceremony in Saint-Tropez, France. The couple separated in 1977 and in May 1978, she filed for divorce on the grounds of his adultery. Bianca later said "My marriage ended on my wedding day."
In late 1977, he began seeing model Jerry Hall, while still married to Bianca. After a lengthy cohabitation and several children together, the couple married on 21 November 1990, in a Hindu beach ceremony in Indonesia and moved together to Downe House in Richmond, Surrey. Jagger later contested the validity of the ceremony, and the marriage was annulled in August 1999.
Jagger has also been romantically linked to other women: Linda Ronstadt, Marianne Faithfull, Carly Simon, Margaret Trudeau, Mackenzie Phillips, Chrissie Shrimpton, Anita Pallenberg, Marsha Hunt, Pamela Des Barres, Uschi Obermaier, Bebe Buell, Janice Dickinson, Carla Bruni, Sophie Dahl and Angelina Jolie, among others. He has been with fashion designer L'Wren Scott since 2001.
Jagger has seven children with four women:
With Marsha Hunt, he has daughter Karis Hunt Jagger (born 4 November 1970).
With first wife Bianca De Macias, he has daughter Jade Sheena Jezebel Jagger (born 21 October 1971).
With second wife Jerry Hall, he has daughter Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Scarlett Jagger (born 2 March 1984), son
James Leroy Augustin Jagger (born 28 August 1985), daughter Georgia May Ayeesha Jagger (born 12 January 1992) and son Gabriel Luke Beauregard Jagger (born 9 December 1997).
From a brief affair with Luciana Gimenez, he has a son, Lucas Maurice Morad Jagger (born 18 May 1999).
He also has four grandchildren, and expects to become a great-grandfather in 2014 through his granddaughter Assisi, who is the daughter of Jade Jagger.

.....yep. When making love, per se, is an art form, my sweet, we are stepping into different territory. You were my Sex Wizard. Lothario is your art form, and I say that with the due soul depth that it deserves. I am ready for something more. To be loved once in a lifetime of Apocalypse is awesome. To be loved twice is finally making sense. You make love to women my lovely. The Centaur gene is strong and healthy and why not?
I have beaten myself into transmuting that emotion into many art forms. Beings like me have to. That was my first Apocalypse. You evolved so admirably from the Elvis and Priscilla lockup scenario. But it's kind of like being Priscilla on the road now. Same thing.
You make love to women. That's beautiful. Make love. You remain a traditional man, but a Centaur. That is your Divinity. Enjoy it.

Death in Venice
Death in Venice is a novella written by the German author Thomas Mann, first published in 1912 as Der Tod in Venedig. The work presents a great writer suffering writer's block who visits Venice and is liberated, uplifted, and then increasingly obsessed, by the sight of a stunningly beautiful youth. Though he never speaks to the boy, much less touches him, the writer finds himself drawn deep into ruinous inward passion; meanwhile, Venice, and finally the writer himself, succumb to a cholera plague. The novella is powerfully intertextual, with the chief sources being first the connection of erotic love to philosophical wisdom traced in Plato's Symposium and Phaedrus, and second the Nietzschean contrast between the god of restraint and shaping form, Apollo, and the god of excess and passion, Dionysus.
The boy in the story (Tadzio) is based on a boy (Władzio or Tadzio, nicknames for the Polish name Władyslaw or Tadeusz respectively) Mann had seen during a visit to Venice in 1911.
The main character is Gustav von Aschenbach, a famous author in his early fifties who has recently been ennobled in honor of his artistic achievement (and thus has acquired the aristocratic "von" in his name). He is a man dedicated to his art, disciplined and ascetic to the point of severity, who was widowed at a young age. As the story opens, he is strolling outside a cemetery and sees a coarse-looking red-haired foreigner who stares back at him belligerently. Aschenbach walks away, embarrassed but curiously stimulated. He has a vision of a primordial swamp-wilderness, fertile, exotic and full of lurking danger. Soon afterwards, he resolves to take a holiday.
After a false start in traveling to Pula on the Austro-Hungarian coast, Aschenbach realizes he "was meant" to go to Venice, and he takes a suite in the Grand Hôtel des Bains on the Lido island. While shipbound and en route to the island he sees an elderly man, in company with a group of high-spirited youths, who has tried hard to create the illusion of his own youth with a wig, false teeth, makeup, and foppish attire. Aschenbach turns away in disgust. Soon afterwards he has a disturbing encounter with an unlicensed gondolier—another red-haired, skull-faced foreigner—who repeats "I can row you well" when Aschenbach orders him to return to the wharf.
Aschenbach checks into his hotel, where at dinner he sees an aristocratic Polish family at a nearby table. Among them is an adolescent boy of about fourteen years in a sailor suit. Aschenbach, startled, realizes that the boy is supremely beautiful, like a Greek sculpture. His older sisters, by contrast, are so severely dressed that they look like nuns. Soon afterward, after spying the boy and his family at a beach, Aschenbach overhears the lad's name, Tadzio, and conceives what he first experiences as an uplifting, artistic interest.
Soon the hot, humid weather begins to affect Aschenbach's health, and he decides to leave early and move to a more salubrious location. On the morning of his planned departure, he sees Tadzio again, and a powerful feeling of regret sweeps over him. When he reaches the railway station and discovers his trunk has been misdirected, he pretends to be angry, but is really overjoyed; he decides to remain in Venice and wait for his lost luggage. He happily returns to the hotel and thinks no more of leaving.
Over the next days and weeks, Aschenbach's interest in the beautiful boy develops into an obsession. He watches him constantly, and secretly follows him around Venice. One evening, the boy directs a charming smile at him, looking, Aschenbach thinks, like Narcissus smiling at his own reflection. Disconcerted, Aschenbach rushes outside, and in the empty garden whispers aloud, "I love you!"
Aschenbach next takes a trip into the city of Venice, where he sees a few discreetly worded notices from the Health Department warning of an unspecified contagion and advising people to avoid eating shellfish. He smells an unfamiliar strong odour everywhere, and later realises it is disinfectant. However, the authorities adamantly deny that the contagion is serious and tourists continue to wander round the city, oblivious.
Aschenbach at first ignores the danger because it somehow pleases him to think that the city's disease is akin to his own hidden, corrupting passion for the boy. During this period, a third red-haired, disreputable-looking man crosses Aschenbach's path; this one belongs to a troupe of street singers who entertain at the hotel one night. Aschenbach listens entranced to songs that, in his former life, he would have despised – all the while stealing glances at Tadzio, who is leaning on a nearby parapet in a classically beautiful pose. The boy eventually returns Aschenbach's glances, and, though the moment is brief, it instills in the writer a sense that the attraction may be mutual.
Next, Aschenbach rallies his self-respect and decides to discover the reason for the health notices posted in the city. After being repeatedly assured that the sirocco is the only health risk, he finds a British travel agent who reluctantly admits that there is a serious cholera epidemic in Venice. Aschenbach considers warning Tadzio's mother of the danger; however, he decides not to, knowing that if he does, Tadzio will leave the hotel and be lost to him.
One night, a dream filled with orgiastic Dionysian imagery reveals to him the sexual nature of his feelings for Tadzio. Afterwards, he begins staring at the boy so openly and following him so persistently that Aschenbach feels the boy's guardians finally notice, and take to warning Tadzio whenever he approaches too near the strange, solitary man. But Aschenbach's feelings, though passionately intense, remain unvoiced; he never touches Tadzio, or even speaks to him; and while there is some indication that Tadzio is aware of his admiration, the two exchange nothing more than the occasional surreptitious glance.
Aschenbach begins to fret about his aging face and body. In an attempt to look more attractive, he visits the hotel's barber shop almost daily, where the barber eventually persuades him to have his hair dyed and his face painted to look more youthful. The result is a fairly close approximation to the old man on the ship who had so appalled Aschenbach. Freshly dyed and rouged, he again shadows Tadzio through Venice in the oppressive heat. He loses sight of the boy in the heart of the city; then, exhausted and thirsty, he buys and eats some over-ripe strawberries and rests in an abandoned square, contemplating the Platonic ideal of beauty amidst the ruins of his own once-formidable dignity.
A few days later, Aschenbach goes to the lobby in his hotel, feeling ill and weak, and discovers that the Polish family plan to leave after lunch. He goes down to the beach to his usual deck chair. Tadzio is there, unsupervised for once, and accompanied by an older boy, Jasiu. A fight breaks out between the two boys, and Tadzio is quickly bested; afterward, he angrily leaves his companion and wades over to Aschenbach's part of the beach, where he stands for a moment looking out to sea; then turns halfway around to look at his admirer. To Aschenbach, it is as if the boy is beckoning to him: he tries to rise and follow, only to collapse sideways into his chair.
His body is discovered a few minutes later.
Mann's original intention was to write about "passion as confusion and degradation", after having been fascinated by the true story of Goethe's love for 18-year-old Baroness Ulrike von Levetzow, which had led Goethe to write his Marienbad Elegy. The May 1911 death of composer Gustav Mahler in Vienna and Mann's interest in the boy Władzio during summer 1911 vacation in Venice (more below) were additional experiences occupying his thoughts. He used the story to illuminate certain convictions about the relationship between life and mind, with Aschenbach representing the intellectual. Mann was also influenced by Sigmund Freud and his views on dreams, as well as by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who had visited Venice several times.
The novella is rife with allusions from antiquity forward, especially to Greek antiquity and to German works (literary, art-historical, musical, visual) from the eighteenth century on.
One important framework of references points to Greek mythology; Aschenbach's Venice seems populated by the gods. By dedicating himself to Apollo, whom Nietzsche's Birth of Tragedy took to represent restraint, form and the intellect, Aschenbach has denied the power of Dionysus, Nietzsche's god of unreason and of passion – a voluntary act of what Freud would call "suppression". Dionysus seems to have followed Aschenbach to Venice with the intent of destroying him: the red-haired man who keeps crossing von Aschenbach's path, in the guise of different characters, could be a figure of Silenus, Dionysus's mythological chief disciple. In the Benjamin Britten opera these characters (the traveller, the gondolier, the leading player and the voice of Dionysus) are played by the same baritone singer, who also plays the hotel manager, the barber and the old man on the Vaporetto. The trope of placing classical deities in contemporary settings was popular at the time when Mann was writing Death in Venice: in England, at almost the same time, E. M. Forster was at work on an entire short-story collection based on this premise. The idea of the opposition of the Apollonian and Dionysian was first proposed by Nietzsche in The Birth of Tragedy and was also a popular motif of the time.
Aschenbach's name and character may be inspired by the homosexual German poet August von Platen-Hallermünde, whose poems about Venice are alluded to in the novella and who, like Aschenbach, dies of the cholera on an Italian island. The character's first name is virtually an anagram of August. The character's last name may be derived from von Platen's birthplace, Ansbach. However, it has another clear significance: Aschenbach literally means "ash brook". The novella's physical description of Aschenbach was based on a photograph of the composer Gustav Mahler. Mahler had made a strong personal impression on Mann when they met in Munich and Mann was shocked by the news of Mahler's death in Vienna. Mann applied Mahler's first name and facial appearance to Aschenbach but did not talk about it in public. (The soundtrack of the film based on the novella made use of Mahler's compositions, particularly the "Adagietto" 4th movement from the Symphony No. 5).

Consciousness. I am now in a brand new place. I love two men. As anyone, who has read my work on this blog can see, I have been on a momentous journey with the man I know is my twin soul. My primal twin soul. I am also, now on a journey with another twin soul. A man I affectionately call ‘Noah’ for the purposes of this work and the other I affectionately, call ‘Marcus Vinicius’.
I have been a mistress for 30 years. Six and a half years with ‘Marcus Vinicius’. 30 years, since I was active in the romantic life. Other than two six month relationships in my twenties. Well, not mistress in the technical sense. I and all the men I have been involved in, are far too ethical for that. Ethical and unable to connect. Not me. Them. And ethical. These two things, the recognition that I now, effectively love two men, one of whom I believe I will be with, as our intention always was, and the other, who I could truly, be with completely too, and the second thing, the recognition that I have been held prisoner my whole adult life, through being ‘the other woman’ for very specific and totally generic, societal, sociological, psychological, and even anthropological and even economic reasons, has not been easy to face. In other words, I have no idea what my destiny is anymore, and I am tired of trying to figure it out. A good thing. A very painful thing, but helped by the fact that there are two wonderful hearts I am trying to figure it out with.
One of them, the primal twin soul, for instance, the one who has put himself through almost four years of spiritual training with me, with my own pain and wounds in the fray to help him and demand that he sees his dark side, finds now in his new liberation of life, that he may like the JFK brand of marriage. The one that Bill Clinton made famous. I would say that is pre harvest fragmentation and avoidance, but that may not be the case. I see him as an Ancient Sex Wizard. Centaurs is what they are also called. I am part Centaur too, but I seem to have decided that monogamy with that kind of vast intimacy of sexuality, which may or may not include other people in the room, let’s just say, is what I call a sexual partnership. What I call, full, true love. I do see the Sacred Pimp as I call the man from the ancient world as a sexual being and a Dominant. Dominants penetrate females. Females like me are penetrated. It’s a different dynamic, so not easy to classify into one type or kind or way to be. He and I have had the courage to discourse everything that is marriage and everything that is not and he is still loving and still listening. I am trying to do the same.
The kind of marriage that Bill Clinton made famous, is not what I would at first hand, call evolved marriage. Actually, something of a liberation for sure, but not enough. In truth, everything should be done out in the open. Sex has to be lived, not hidden. And not therefore fragmented into ten different people. So, not the tribal marriage kind behind closed doors and the reason is this. For instance. Time. By agreeing to open marriage, it is the time and relationship that is built up with other partners that changes the emphasis on partnership. Each to their own, but who knows at the moment, what is what and why is what. But that’s his thing right now. I would say at the same time, that women like me don’t fragment enough. We go for the man and put everything we have ever wanted into him. So there is definitely a middle ground of health there. There’s also another for instance.
For me, to not be a man’s sexual centre is a problem. I am too sexual, not to be the centre of a man’s sex. I am too possessive and I am too jealous and demanding. I also want depth. This is all a progressive and honest exploration, following on from all our work into the authenticity of the real world we should be living in. But JFK (RIP) is not what I want, I don’t think. To be Sacred Whore High Priestess Hierophant Avatar Valkyrie (yes indeedy) is many things to do with sex that are not polite society. Attitudes through to behaviour. From what I can see. But so far, it involves monogamy. What I worry about is that, as a financial wizard, not to say that is not incredibly creative, women per se, might be his art form. And he may need it too much.
The other twin soul, ‘Noah’ is beautiful. But I have only just met him and he is not the first. And I am clearly not over the first in any way, and if it is supposed to be, that I am supposed to be over him, we will all just have to wait. Each day that goes forward, means I am falling in love with him more and more, as one does. Is it friendship, is it a new beginning, who can say? The profundity is obvious. To say he does not feel like my primal partner too, would be lying, but he is not ‘him’. He is also more monogamous let’s say, because, like me, he has converted his sexual drive into an awesome level of creative work. And he yearns intimacy, like me. The whole in one. He understands like me, how to control the obsessiveness, but then, he is also at the same place as my other, so that is only sincere and surface if you like.
Basically, there are going to be tears either way and it will be as horrendous as anything else in my sorry, spiritual, freedom fighting, ascending, teaching, Scheherazade, crazy life. It will indeed, be bittersweet. But I love two men and they love me and that is as far as we can get. The one message that it truly gives is the third option. Ain’t nothing happening anytime soon. It has truly knocked me off my path in the way it was intended. And I have had to face the truth that we are to make yet another stage of the journey, to what is believed to be our harvest. Maybe it is truly, ‘may the best man win’ but I am sure that does not amuse one of us, and anyone else involved, and if that were the case, that would imply that one of them will not reach where I am now moved to take us. To their ascension. To your ascension. To anyone’s ascension who can manage it. They will both make it. I intend it and hope.
Under these new ‘master enightenment’ conditions, I am broken into grace and acceptance of my own (ascetic, brutal and cold – no freedom in ‘The World of Men’ style, + my spiritual mastery training it seems) circumstances of hardship, and now turn to yours (theirs/yours) more directly and widely and most importantly, from the beginning.
And to express my whole intention, as my story is as personal as it is global and spiritual and Universe universal, my intention is to take both of them (you two, yes, you) to ascension and then let’s see what we are about.
In beginning this writing, I am also crossing an important new threshold into my own spiritual and creative mastery. We have dealt with misogyny, fascism, and many other things in my work so far. Now we go much further and farther. These are the sketches for the material of the company, in book form, course form, speaking form and audio form and in any other method of communication. To turn me into an educator. To share the secrets. Let’s see how we go. This is what I can describe so far, as Alchemy and Liberation and Humanity™.
I would also like to say thank you at this point to everyone who has followed my work so far. I know who you are and can feel you. I will be taking this into the professional fiscal sphere eventually, but I am very honoured to be developing my voice with you. It helps me as it helps you. And it helps him and now, him. We all thank you. This began as a bid to get my man, as do all great stories. Now, it is a bid to get us all. Let’s give it a go.

The Law of Cycles. Dan Millman
"The world of nature exists within a larger pattern of cycles, such as day and night and the passing of the seasons. The seasons do not push one another; neither do clouds race the wind across the sky; all things happen in good time; everything has a time to rise and a time to fall. Whatever rises, falls, and whatever falls shall rise again; that is the principle of cycles."
"Patience is power; with time and patience the mulberry leaf becomes silk." Chinese proverb.
Different forms of energy vibrate at different rates; like a river, energy flows from a higher to lower levels, moving through repeating cycles, expanding and then contracting like our breathing.
Since everything in the universe is a form of energy, everything falls within the domain of the Law of Cycles; Sunrise and sunset, the waxing and waning moon, the ebb and flow of the tides, and the seasons of the year all reflect this law. It reminds us there is a time for everything under the sun. All things have a most favourable and a least favourable time; all things rise and fall. A thought or action initiated while this pulsing energy is rising and gaining momentum travels along easily toward its success, but a thought or action initiated in a descending cycle has a reduced impact. When a cycle is not favourable, we wait until it is rising again. There are times for action and times for stillness, times to talk and times to be silent. Few things are more frustrating than doing the right thing at the wrong time.
Appreciating the energy cycles of our lives helps us apply good timing and create better 'luck' for ourselves. There are times to work and times to rest, times to take advantage of a building cycle and times to go inside, learn patience and wait, preparing for the next rising wave.
One example of how this law works involves my first book, WAY OF THE PEACEFUL WARRIOR.
Originally published by JP Tarcher in hardback, it received one positive review and one very negative review and found its way into only a few bookstores. Sales figures looked so dismal that the publisher decided not to risk a paperback edition; the book quietly 'died' with a bulk of stock remaining in storage.
This was certainly no fault of the publisher, who had assigned a gifted editor to the book, commissioned a beautiful cover and did what promotion they could for it. But the timing wasn't right and the book just didn't take off - until three years later, when Hal Kramer, a retired publisher, happened upon a copy of the book, read it and felt so inspired, he declared, "I'm going back into publishing, starting with this book." He sent letters to booksellers, announcing his re-entry "into the ring" with this new book and the rest, as they say, is history; WAY OF THE PEACEFUL WARRIOR, as of this writing, is published in twelve languages and has become an international best-seller, riding a rising cycle.
The life of Malcolm X provides another example of the Law of Cycles. At the lowest point in his life, when he was sentenced to ten years in prison, he made very good use of the time. He turned prison into his cocoon, from which he went through a metamorphosis that was to transform his life and the lives of many others. Rather than resisting or bemoaning his fate, he studied and read and studied more. He made use of the Law of Cycles and of the related Law of Flexibility. He emerged to become a major leader of his people.
Each of us has our own rhythms. As we find our own rhythm, we take advantage of whatever point of cycle we find ourselves; we learn to flow in harmony and rhythm with the Law of Cycles.
The impulse that sets some cycles in motion may be explosive; some cycles may rise, peak, then fall rapidly, like a heavily advertised best-seller. Like a shooting star, it may have a short but dramatic life.
Other books pick up slowly, by word of mouth, rising in popularity for years, then have a very slow decline. Such cycles apply to the fortunes of individuals, countries, religions, corporations, celebrities and cultures - rising and falling and rising again as the window of opportunity finally opens and the timing is right.
The following exercises can help you achieve alignment with the Law of Cycles thorugh direct experience and application.
Experiencing Cycles.
1. Observe how winter brings the cold season of hibernation, spring calls forth warm rebirth; summer calls forth ripening; and autumn brings forth the harvest. In this way, the cycle of the seasons continues in a great circle.
2. Have you observed complete circles, large or small, in your life?
Did your popularity in school have its ups and downs?
Do you see cycles of ease and difficulty in your work activities over the years?
Have there been times when everything seemed to go smoothly and othe times when you felt as if you were pushing through molasses?
3. We can gain a certain security and sense of timing as we realise that life is a circle, and if we have the patience to wait long enough, and prepare for opportunity in the meantime, most opportunities come around again.
Applying the Law of Cycles.
Within the great cycle of our lives - the spring of youth, the summer of our middle years, the autumn of our later years, and the winter of our final years as our life nears its end, many other cycles flow. Each year brings a spring of new beginnings, a summer of ripening, a fall of harvest and a cold winter of waiting.
1. Observe the periods of winter, spring, summer and autumn in your life.
In times of 'winter' that called for patient endurance and slowing down, did you use the time for learning and quiet reflection or did you want to rush the coming of spring?
When spring arrived, did you take advantage of this new beginning by sowing seeds?
Did you allow yourself to enjoy the leisure of summer seasons?
Did you harvest the fruits of your labours in the autumn cycles, storing, saving and preparing for winter's return?
2. Consider how your understanding of the Law of Cycles could help you create greater harmony, ease and natural flow in your life.
Epilogue to 'The Life You Were Born to Live' by Dan Millman
"It is never too late to be what we might have been." George Eliot.
This book shares keys to a sacred teaching that has, for centuries, been veiled in relative secrecy, passed down in a largely oral tradition. The Life-Purpose System deals not so much with self-improvement as with life improvement. While it may help clarify your path, the timing of your journey and the discipline and faith you apply are yours to choose.
By now, you have grasped the essentials of the method and have a feel for the interplay of archetypal energies and patterns that make up our lives. You can now more clearly see and appreciate the kinds of issues and the kind of promise your life represents. If you feel a deeper sense of your purpose and direction, then my own purpose for writing this book has been fulfilled.
To put this material in perspective, I close with a final reminder. There is a time for introspection and a time for turning outward; each has its value. We have to know the self before we can transcend it. As we explore the cave of our psyche, we find sparkling jewels of ideas, beliefs and images, but if we get too fascinated with the facets of personality, we remain within the cave.
Remember the light at the end of the tunnel; we need not linger within the caverns any longer than necessary. Self-knowledge is not the end. It is only the beginning. Let's go deeply into the self, then through it.
Once we cross the river of the self, we no longer need the boat. When we've explored our nooks and crannies to the point of becoming transparent to the light of awareness, we finally see the Spirit that shines through us all.
All of the laws described in this book are secondary to the Law of Love. I don't say this merely as poetry or metaphor. I mean it literally. Systems of analysis an introspection tend to put us in our mind as we observe ourselves. Analysis certainly has its place, but it remains subordinate to loving-kindness.
If we lose touch with our heart's wisdom, then no method avails; if we love, then nothing else is necessary. This material can help clear away the obstructions that hold love trapped within us and free it to expand into the world as joyous service for the common good.
It is my highest hope that you make use of what you have learned. Study this system, apply it, embody it and then throw it away. It's only another step on your journey of awakening.
Rest your mind in the eternal present, but open your eyes to the highest possibilities of your life path. Trust the process of your life, keep your sense of humour and above all, remember that it's never too late to experience the life you were born to live.

Mastery. Robert Greene
A companion to the 1 New York Times Bestseller Mastery
More than 20,000 hours of research and thought went into Robert Greene's stunning book, Mastery. In a departure from his previous works, Robert Greene interviewed nine contemporary masters, including tech guru Paul Graham, animal rights advocate Temple Grandin, and boxing trainer Freddie Roach, to get their perspective on their paths to greatness. Those interviews are now available to readers for the first time. Interviews with the Masters presents more than 700 pages of revealing insight directly from these contemporary Masters; from how they learn and think, to how they put it all together and create.
You’ll learn how
-Paul Graham used a hacker's mentality to create a programing language and a billion dollar portfolio.
-Santiago Calatrava combined the disciplines of art, architecture, and engineering to design revolutionary moving structures.
-Daniel Everett solved the 300 year old mystery of the Pirahã language, forever changing the linguistics field and challenging Chomsky’s Universal Grammar theory.
-Freddie Roach's trademark techniques made him one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world, guiding talents like world champion Manny Pacquiao and UFC Champion Georges St. Pierre.
-Yoky Matsuoka pioneered a new field called “neurobotics.”
-Cesar Rodriguez Jr. went from the bottom of his Air Force class to become the "Last
American Ace.”
-Temple Grandin emerged from a chaotic childhood with autism to become a leader in animal sciences.
-Teresita Fernández used her fascination with alchemy to design beautiful conceptual art.
-VS Ramachandran’s obsession with anomalies led to major discoveries that solved bizarre neurological syndromes like phantom limbs and body-identity disorders.
This companion to the #1 New York Times Bestseller Mastery is a playbook to the lives of today’s Masters that readers can use to guide them on their own path to Mastery.

On the other hand, my dearest, it is decided. Don't want it. Peace. The consciousness comes nonetheless. But I am decided. 'Noah' as Noah comes out on screen. 2014 is about monogamy and connection. And not, my lovely, you. Thank you for you. Now you are a new you. Good. Enjoy. Fly....
....."Are you really your best counsel? Probably not at this moment in time. You are worried that you will sell yourself short and agree to something that you don't feel morally comfortable with. For example you may really desire marriage but the offer has been 'let's live together'. You may be looking at a job or business opportunity but you question how ethical it is. Seek out an advisor you can trust such as a teacher, priest, parent or anyone you have respect for. They will be happy to help."

The Company.

Thank you.
