True love is as much an ego disappointment as it is an elation of the pure heart.
So true love, either from the Universe, God or the Great Spirit or from and to and with another person, is true for real, but brutal, objective, challenging, growth inducing and always there. It is a love you have to trust but not judge, a love you cannot demand, but one you receive always and just love.
Moving out of dependency, ie the notion that need is love and that demand is always best, before the ego has to realise that one is not allowed to need anything in life, is not just about other people. Moving out of dependency, ie wanting love too much so you demand it or indeed wanting love too much so you run away from it, is the same kind of dependency that needs to be healed with Spirit.
Dependency is not love, need is not love and judgement is not love. High love is objective, trusting and one you have to rely on no matter what. And the recognition has to come then that one’s own true love, the true love one metes out to others and indeed to the Universe is actually the same.
A love that is not always understood, appreciated or even liked. Yet, as it comes from Soul and always leads to better things, it is finally always accepted as love. We receive in the same way we give and moving into a high love, a true love is not a fairy tale with a marshmallow ending.
True love is as much an ego disappointment as it is an elation of the pure heart. True love is hard work, a hard work that is always worth it in each moment, as we realise that ego is alright after all. It’s not going to have a fit, it’s not going to get angry and it’s not going to die of pain. Ego becomes alright. And then we know we have arrived. And nothing will ever be the same after that.
